Our little bottle baby is home-ready ! ❤️🐶

Meet Emma, a precious little Jack Russell x girl who has been hand-raised since she was just days old.

Sadly, Emma lost her mom at a very young age and her journey began with challenges no puppy should have to face. Thankfully, she was given a second chance and lovingly bottle-fed, ensuring she grew up surrounded by warmth, care, and affection. ❤️

Despite her difficult start, Emma is a happy, confident little soul who has only ever known kindness. She loves attention, cuddles, and exploring the world around her, and now she’s ready to find a family of her very own.

Emma is expected to be small to medium in size when fully grown and would love a home where she can continue to thrive, learn, and be spoiled with all the love she deserves.

FLASH IS READY FOR HIS SECOND CHANCE ❤️ 🐾

Meet Flash, our handsome 1.5-year-old German Shepherd who came into our care last week after being used for backyard breeding.

When Flash arrived, he wasn’t alone. We also welcomed the remaining pups from the litter, who have since all found their wonderful forever homes. Now it’s Dad’s turn to find the happy ending he deserves. 🏡✨

Today is a big day for Flash as he will be sterilized, marking the end of his breeding days and the beginning of a future where he can simply be a beloved family dog. ❤️

Despite everything he’s been through, Flash has the gentlest soul. He is loving, affectionate, and incredibly grateful for every bit of kindness shown to him. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and is truly just a big puppy at heart.

Flash is still learning the basics of being a pet. It’s clear that he has never experienced simple joys like going for walks, and leash training is something completely new to him. But true to his breed, he is exceptionally intelligent and eager to learn. With a little patience and guidance, we have no doubt that Flash will thrive and become an amazing companion.

This beautiful boy deserves a family who will show him what love, security, and belonging truly feel like. Could that be you ? 🐶❤️

After an approved adoption, Steri contract signed and scheduled to leave tomorrow, we got the message last night that things have changed just in time for the cold weather !! ❄️😭

Sam needs a new plan ! 🙏

Meet Sam — a handsome 8 week old pittie pup looking for his forever family ! 🐶🤍

This stunning little boy was generously “donated” to us after his owner could no longer care for him. After a very long round trip to fetch him, Sam is now safe and settling in beautifully at our shelter. He will be home ready this weekend ! 😊

While we don’t know much about Sam’s past or where he originally came from, what we do know is that he is a happy, healthy, playful pup with so much love to give. Like all puppies, Sam will need a family committed to training, patience, and helping him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be. ❤️ Sam would be most ideal as an only doggie.

He would absolutely love to have a forever home lined up and waiting for him next weekend. 🏡

This gorgeous 9 week old Staffy x girl has had a little taste of home life in foster care, and now she’s dreaming of a forever home to call her very own. 🥰

Bianca may be one of the smallest pups in her litter, but what she lacks in size she makes up for with her huge personality and even bigger heart ! ❤️

After a week in foster care, Bianca is thriving. She’s learning the basics of potty training, soaking up all the love and attention she can get, and spending her days enjoying the sunshine and outdoor adventures. ☀️🐶

She is a happy, affectionate little girl who would love a family of her own to grow up with. We estimate Bianca will be medium-sized when fully grown.

🏃‍♀️🐾 COMRADES CHALLENGE FUNDRAISER 🐾🏃‍♀️

The incredible Ernestia Brummer is taking on the legendary Comrades Marathon — an unbelievable 86km challenge — all in support of the dogs in our care ! 🧡

This year marks Ernestia’s very first Comrades Marathon, making this journey even more special. While completing the race would be an amazing achievement, the true focus is seeing just how far she can go while raising much-needed funds for the rescue dogs depending on us every single day. 🐶

We are asking our supporters to pledge an amount per kilometre completed. 😃

For example:
✨ Pledge R5 per kilometre
✨ If Ernestia completes 50km, your donation would be R250

Every single kilometre she runs will directly help us continue providing food, medical care, shelter and safety for the dogs in our care. ❤️
