π Such a privilege to have been invited to speak today at the Workshop on Environmental Management and Climate Change at Johannesburg of Commerce and Industry ( ), hosted by South African Local Government Association as part of their career development programme.
Tarryn Johnston was invited to share the journey of Hennops River Revival and the Deep Water Movement β how weβve transformed environmental restoration into a platform for increased awareness, water literacy, skills development, community empowerment, and stewardship.
South African Local Government Association (SALGA) has adopted 41 graduate interns qualified in Environmental Management and Climate Change, currently placed across Sedibeng District Municipality and its local municipalities: Lesedi, Midvaal, and Emfuleni. These young professionals are being capacitated through real-world exposure, mentorship, and sector networking.

π Supporting career development through mentorship and professional pathways
