Located in Springfield Township (Delaware County), Pennsylvania; our goals are:

Assist the Board of Commissioners in its stewardship to protect, manage, improve, and utilize its natural areas and resources. Develop and maintain an inventory of natural resources including open spaces, streams & Creeks, wooded areas, and wetlands. Advocate a high standard of community cleanliness, maintenance and a

ttractiveness. Assist residents, businesses, and township officials on sustainable environmental practices that meet the needs of the present without compromising the resources available for future generations. Promote the quality of life in Springfield by creating and supporting activities that improve the physical and aesthetic environment of the community.

🌳 It’s hot out there! Trees can make a big difference in keeping our community cooler.

Trees support wildlife by providing food, shelter, and protection. They also clean our air, lower temperatures, and offer shade that helps keep homes and neighborhoods cooler in summer.

Want to see the impact? Watch this short video shared by a friend. It shows the temperature difference between a tree-shaded area and one in full sun, and the results are striking!

🐾 Pet owners: when walking your dog on pavement or blacktop, stay in the shade when you can. Surfaces in direct sun can get dangerously hot for paws.

Every tree matters. Let’s appreciate, protect, and plant more trees. They’re one of nature’s best defenses against extreme heat! 🌳💚
