This is the Pathway to the Development of Samoa. Not just discussed, but in action, hand in hand.

At IWSA, this is what we're about: driving tangible change and real impact on the ground. The recent two-day collaboration in Falelatai was an important step, laying and rerouting new transmission pipelines and securing their spring sources. While access is improving, the journey to ensure consistent, clean water quality continues.

Fa'amālō le loto tele to the Falelatai community, their MP le Afioga Lupematasila Tologata Tile, and the water committee for your partnership.

Progress continues, and IWSA remains committed to supporting our IWS communities. We also acknowledge the Government of Samoa, through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Samoa WASH sector, under which IWSA operates as an implementing agency, for making this work possible.

The Independent Water Schemes Association (IWSA) is a proud member of the Pacific Water and Wastewater Association (PWWA) and took part in the annual PWWA Conference held last week from 25th - 29th August in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

This conference brings together water utilities, experts, and stakeholders from across the Pacific to share knowledge, showcase innovations, and celebrate achievements in improving water and wastewater services in our region.

Opportunities such as this conference are crucial for the Association to advocate for our member communities who manage their own water supply systems. We have shared our stories and vision in the hope of strengthening support to ensure communities receive the assistance needed to remain sustainable and resilient. We are also proud that IWS communities were recognised in Samoa’s address at the 9th Ministerial Forum where each minister shared their lived realities in their countries.

We are also excited to announce that IWSA received the Best Customer Service Award at the 2025 PWWA Awards. Competing against other medium water utilities in the Pacific, this award recognizes IWSA’s work in Samoa and itʻs dedication to supporting water services to Samoa’s rural communities.

Fa’afetai tele lava to our team, partners, and communities for making this achievement possible.
