Our Community Law Centre can help protect you. We listen to your story because you matter and we care about you. The Community Law Centre in Samoa Victim Support Group works closely with the police and the courts to make sure survivors are not alone. We provide legal advice, court support, and even safe spaces for counseling and protection. Survivors can also access the SVSG Helpline (800-7874) at any time for immediate assistance. Our Community Law Centre is your safe space, guiding you through the process, helping you understand your rights, and reminding you that justice is possible. You don't have to stay silent. Heartfelt Donation to Support SVSG Families

The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) extends its sincere gratitude to Mrs. Diane Mariotti Black and family from the USA for their generous donation in support of vulnerable children, women, and families under our care.

The donation, kindly delivered on behalf of the family by Bobby Carney of Vaivase, included a cash contribution of SAT $300 along with clothing, bags, and shoes. These items will greatly assist families and individuals who access SVSG services and support programs.

On behalf of our Board, President, Management, staff, and the Children at the Campus of Hope, we express our heartfelt appreciation to Diane Mariotti Black, her family, and Bobby Carney for their generosity and commitment to helping others.

Empowering Communities Through Livelihood Skills Training in Saanapu

The Samoa Victims Support Group (SVSG), in partnership with community leaders, recently conducted a Livelihood Training Program in Saanapu under the Nofotane Initiative (NSSE EU Project).

The training focused on strengthening traditional and practical skills, including elei printing, sei making, handicraft production, ula weaving, and food preparation such as keke pua’a. Participants were provided with hands-on demonstrations and practical learning opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Women and men from the village of Saanapu actively participated, working together throughout the training. The sessions also provided an opportunity for one-on-one discussions on the benefits of the program, as well as the challenges participants face in applying and sustaining these livelihood skills.

This initiative plays an important role in promoting economic empowerment, self-reliance, and cultural preservation, particularly for Nofotane women, while creating practical income-generating opportunities for families.

By strengthening traditional knowledge and supporting sustainable livelihoods, the program contributes to building more resilient communities and advancing SVSG’s mission to empower vulnerable groups throughout Samoa.

SVSG extends its sincere appreciation to Afioga Tafafunai Aialii Anapu & Faletua Florence for leading the Saanapu community leaders and all participants for their commitment and enthusiasm in making this training a success.

🎁📚 A Heartfelt Thank You to Richard and Megan 📚🎁

The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) and the children of the Campus of Hope Preschool would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Richard and Megan for their generous donation of books, pens, reading materials, and educational accessories.

This thoughtful contribution was made on behalf of their niece, who previously worked at the Campus of Hope Preschool and continues to hold a special place in her heart for our children and their learning journey.

🎶❤️ THE GIFT OF MUSIC FOR THE CHILDREN OF CAMPUS OF HOPE ❤️🎶

Today, the children of the Campus of Hope were blessed with a very special gift from one of Samoa’s most celebrated musicians, Faanana Jerome Grey, together with his sons Taumata Grey and Vaea Aitonu Grey.

The talented father-and-sons team donated four beautiful ukuleles to support the Campus of Hope Mini Band, helping our children discover and nurture their musical talents.

Faanana Jerome Grey and his sons are currently in Samoa performing at the Independence Celebrations Music Night under the invitation of the Honourable Prime Minister and the Government of Samoa. Despite their busy schedule, they took time to visit SVSG and share their love of music with our children.

This generous donation was also made with the support of the Pasifika Music Academy, own by Faanana and his family, whose commitment to empowering young people through music is truly appreciated.

On behalf of SVSG President Mrs. Siliniu Lina Chang, SVSG Management, staff, and especially the children of the Campus of Hope, Tafatoa Sam Fruean expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Grey family and the Pasifika Music Academy for their kindness and generosity.

Music has the power to inspire, heal, and bring joy. These ukuleles will create wonderful opportunities for our children to learn, perform, and express themselves through song.

What a special treat for our children to experience the famous Animal Fries for the very first time! Their smiles said it all.

🇼🇸❤️ A Trip to Remember ❤️🇦🇺

As many people begin travelling back overseas after coming to Samoa to celebrate another year of Independence, the Campus of Hope was deeply honoured to welcome the Kalepo family from Sydney, Australia.

This visit was especially meaningful as Mrs. Henrietta Kalepo recently celebrated her 60th birthday, and God had placed in her heart a strong desire to come, visit, and feed the children at the Campus of Hope. With tears in her eyes and gratitude in her heart, that wish became a reality today.

Not wanting to disrupt the children's programme, the family quietly began their tour of the Campus not wanting to interrupt the children's sports day. However, they could not pass by unnoticed as the children began singing and warmly welcoming them. Like so many visitors who set foot on the Campus of Hope, the experience was emotional and deeply moving. The love, hope, and purpose found within these grounds touched their hearts in a very special way.

The Kalepo family moved by gratitude demonstrated extraordinary generosity by donating AUD $1,000 to support the children in addition to blessing them with Bree's Animal Fries — a special treat for many children in Samoa.

These are rare hearts that give not for recognition, but out of genuine love and a sincere desire to make a difference. As you shared in such touching words, Keneti, "This is just the beginning. This is our place, and this is our family."
