The American Indian Culture merit badge gives Scouts the opportunity to learn about the histories, traditions, and contemporary lives of Native peoples in the United States. Through research, conversations, and exploration of cultural practices, Scouts gain a deeper understanding of the diversity and resilience of Indigenous nations. It’s a meaningful badge to highlight during this anniversary year, helping youth appreciate the rich cultural foundations that long predate our nation’s founding and continue to shape America today.
