Our Early Childhood Education Series for Parents is back! 🌟

Parents and caregivers of children ages 2–6 with autism or another developmental disability are invited to join us for Move, Play & Grow: Building Gross Motor Skills at Home, featuring Mary Beth Bush from the Early Childhood Resource Center.

Discover fun and practical activities that can help strengthen your child’s movement, coordination and gross motor skills—all while making learning enjoyable!

⛳️ 132 golfers. $28,000+ raised. One incredible day for PD! 💙

We are incredibly grateful for the tremendous support at the Bill Roux Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing! Together, we raised more than $28,000 to provide scholarships for our PD staff pursuing autism education and higher education.

Investing in our staff means investing in the future of our students—and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make that investment possible!

A special thank you to the Roux and Fryda families for allowing us to honor Bill’s legacy through this scholarship.

Potential Development is grateful to be a recipient of funds raised through the Youngstown Marathon Foundation. We are proud to be among the local nonprofits benefiting from the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening our community.

We also want to recognize the dedication and commitment of the runners who train, compete and cross the finish line in support of this event. Their hard work and perseverance, along with the generosity of participants, volunteers and supporters, help turn miles into meaningful support for local organizations. We are grateful for every runner who helps make this impact possible!

Sibshops is a workshop designed especially for young brothers and sisters of individuals with disabilities. It allows siblings to connect with others who share similar experiences while enjoying fun activities, peer support and helpful information in a lively, recreational setting.

Potential Development is sharing the following opportunity on behalf of Arc of Ohio NE Branch.

Families and professionals are invited to attend an important conference on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Avion on the Water. Hear from the directors of the Ohio Department of Medicaid and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities about topics that may significantly affect individuals with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who support them.

Topics will include possible changes to Medicaid services, the new InterRAI assessment, special education and the right to live in the community.
