Yesterday, one of our participants spent time painting on her horse during her mentoring session. As she carefully chose her words, she painted “Loved” and “Forgiven.”

These weren’t just words to her—they were reminders of what her heart is longing to fully believe. After walking through difficult experiences and carrying pain from her past, she is learning that her identity is not defined by her wounds, mistakes, or fears. Instead, she is discovering the life-changing truth that she is deeply loved by God and fully forgiven through Jesus Christ.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. At Bright Side Youth Ranch, we have the privilege of creating a safe place where children and teens can process their stories, experience the calming connection of horses, and encounter the hope, healing, and refuge found in Jesus.

Mocha and Maple had the joy of joining Good Shepherd’s Kingdom Quest VBX event last night in their best royal attire. They loved meeting everyone and bringing a little Bright Side joy to the evening!
