Our April Chapter meeting was a great success, full of activity and interesting discussions. We kicked things off with a Memorial Service to remember our beloved member, Marietta Morrison. It was also a chance to celebrate the Americanism and DAR Good Citizen Awards. We had a Vietnam Veteran’s Proclamation read, and then we had a special report on a Scots-Irish Female Patriot. Finally, the nominating committee shared the list of officers for the 2026-2028 term.

It is with our heavy hearts on behalf of the Kings Mountain Chapter, NSDAR, we share our sincere sympathies and condolences to Paulajo Gross and her family. Today we were made aware of the tragic accident that took the life of her 5-month-old great-grandson, Dean Everett Gross. Please know, our chapter is truly saddened for Paulajo's loss.
We're asking all South Carolina Chapter members to please keep Paulajo and her entire family in their thoughts and prayers. If any are inclined to offer financial assistance or wish to read a statement put out by the family, the GoFundMe page link is below. Again, we are truly sorry and saddened by this news, and our love goes out to Paulajo's family.

We had a busy Chapter meeting in February and enjoyed yummy treats! Our guest speaker, Margaret Willan-Parsons presented the historical Enslaved Cemetery at Brattonsville. Angela Melton was inducted into our Chapter, we did a "Service Minute" by writing "Thank You" cards to our brave Military men and women and to end the meeting, we had a "Signing Ceremony" with our new applicants, Shelby Boswell, Maureen Bumba and Molly Romich.
