🌦️ Meet Austin Estes, a York County 4-H member who is turning his passion for technology and science into a meaningful leadership project.

This year, Austin is leading the development of the York County 4-H Computer Science Weather SPIN Club. Through this project, youth will learn coding, electronics, engineering design, and data analysis while building a weather station that will collect and share citizen science data with NOAA.

💻🔧 To bring this project to life, we are seeking community sponsors to help fund equipment, sensors, microcontrollers, and educational materials. Our goal is to raise $800 to provide hands-on STEM learning opportunities for local youth.

🌱 By supporting this project, you are investing in the next generation of innovators, engineers, programmers, and community leaders.

🌦️💻 Calling all future weather scientists, coders, and engineers!

Join us for the York County 4-H Computer Science Weather SPIN Club Interest Meeting on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM!

Students will:
🔹 Build a weather station using Raspberry Pi and microcontrollers
🔹 Learn coding, electronics, and engineering design
🔹 Collect and analyze real weather data
🔹 Contribute citizen science observations to NOAA
🔹 Explore exciting STEM careers and technologies

Join York County 4-H for a unique opportunity to attend the Spartanburg Music Trail induction ceremony honoring Kristin Scott Benson, 7-time IBMA Banjo Player of the Year and member of the Grammy-nominated Grascals.

This free event is a great chance for youth and families to:
• Learn about South Carolina music history
• Experience bluegrass music and local culture
• Celebrate an extraordinary musician
• Meet Kristin Scott Benson in person
