For three years Project Inspire Yonkers, Inc. has cultivated, operated and successfully managed an all boys youth mentorship program in the City of Yonkers. For the past few months we have been documenting the behind the scenes of the To Be Inspired Mentorship Program, with the hopes of recruiting more young people.
Just a few days ago the lives of 6 youth was horrifically impacted by Gun Violence in the city we know and love. Although it is touted that crime is down, we know that one act of gun violence is too much. Youth offend out of desperation, lack of guidance, lack of hope, lack of resources. Investing in programs like ours, assist in communal efforts to deter our young people from the streets. Events like the tragedy that recently occurred is what we work hard to avoid by providing alternatives, mentorship, guidance , hope and most importantly — inspiration.
This is us pulling back the curtain for you to see who, what, when, where, why and how we’ve successfully improved the trajectory of dozens of youth in the past 3 years. This is the To Be Inspired Mentorship Program. 2026-2027 School Year enrollment begins soon.
