Groundwork Hudson Valley creates change in urban neighborhoods through community-based partnerships that promote resilience infrastructure, youth leadership, and economic opportunity. Looking for something fun to do tomorrow? Pop on over to The Science Barge! From 1 - 3pm Barge Captain Joel will be running a Mini-Beast Bonanza full of small critteres and smaller critters. 🙂 As always, both your entry and the program are free! If you're driving there's metered parking on the street or you can park in the Buena Vista Garage just around the corner. Or you can can take the bus to Getty Square or Beuna Vista Avenue or take the Metro North train to the Yonkers station. While you're there, you can take a walk around the Yonkers Daylighting Park, grab an ice cream, or stop for lunch. There are lots of good places to go!

Please join us on The Science Barge on Sunday to create your own artwork by drawing inspiration from the plants around us. We’ll learn how to do leaf rubbings and simple plant pressings with local materials. Admission to the barge is free from noon to 5 pm and our free art program will run from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Not to point out the obvious but it is HOT out there! We're down at the Riverfront Branch of the Yonkers Public Library today showing you the work we've done with the Hudson River Museum on excessive heat and shade structures. Stop by if you're out and about. We've got popsicles to cool you off. Big thanks to Con Edisonfor their support.

The season has just started and there's a whole lot of blooming going on. 99 Dock Street in Yonkers (behind the Yonkers Metro North Station) is the place to be. Open to the public from noon to 5pm and it's FREE! See you there.
