It breaks my heart to make this post! I've been with you all every Easter for the past 20 years or so (minus the last 3)... I remember our very first Easter Egg Hunt at the Atlanta Fire Hall. I am forever grateful for the family, friends, volunteers, businesses, parents, and the community that have been with me some or all of the way. As you're starting to figure out... this is the end of the Annual Atlanta-Cohocton Children's Easter Egg Hunt my friends.

Yes, economy has played a role in this decision (I picked up a part time job recently for the first time in years). However, the main reason is that my family and our passions have evolved... we moved a bit further from the area 5 years ago, my children are involved in extracurricular activities here, I run a small business and sell things at a few places... and sadly, we have just grown apart from Atlanta/Cohocton over the years.

If there is a local business or organization that would be interested in our "supplies" please feel free to reach out!

I regret to inform you all that there will not be an Easter Egg Hunt this year. Unfortunately between the 7 members of our family, one or more have been sick since January. My 6 year old twins and the 3 year old have been sick the most. The twins have missed such an enormous amount of school that summer school is basically mandatory at this point. Everytime I think we are all healthy again someone gets sick 😞

I regret to inform you all that there will not be an Easter Egg Hunt this year.

We are not a business or organization so this is considered private event and we have too many participants according to current regulations.

I also do not want to be the cause of a potential outbreak.

Please stay in touch as I have HUGE plans for next year!

Thank you all for understanding!

It's been a looooong summer! I'm finally getting around to taking care of the papers from the week the world stopped... including my kiddos report cards and papers that were given to me at conferences the last week of real school.

In that pile is also the gift certificates I was given for our penny social! I will be returning them to the places that donated them because I feel thats the right thing to do.

Plans are also in the works for a drive through chicken BBQ and rummage sale in the spring! I'm also considering all options for a 2021 EGG HUNT, but at the top of my list is visiting you all in person to deliver a basket of eggs to each kiddo if the restrictions are not lifted in time!

This truly breaks my heart to have to post this but the Egg Hunt must be postponed... I was hoping I could figure out an alternative but it looks like we will just have to have one later in the year or wait until next year rolls around 😢😭😪😫😓😥

Please understand that although most socials are on a Monday or Tuesday night, our family is unable to do so because 4 out of 5 of our children need to be in school the next morning.

Hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend! We colored eggs with cool whip. It was fun even though they didn't turn out 😂 but now we have eggs (fake) ready to color next year! We also had our own egg hunt with over 100 eggs! I just love Easter, better weather and less stress!
