The Woodstock Crash report for January 2026 to August 2026; the September numbers should be ready soon so I will be able to publish a monthly report in the future with more details.

Sadly the Jan-Aug numbers look like they are increasing. The "accident with injury number" has already surpassed the number for 2025. Be careful out there! ❤

Very disappointing news that the town of Woodstock was not awarded the grant for non motorized connectivity between the Woodstock and Bearsville.

The Committee would like to congratulate the communities close by that did receive funds to improve their local pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure! Well done!!

The Complete Streets Committee will continue to advocate for improved road safety all across the Town of Woodstock! ❤

I've been working on putting together a monthly infographic "Crash Report" for the town of Woodstock. Its comprised of information from the Woodstock Police Department. The CS Committee had data on hand from the beginning of 2025. So I decided to make a one year compilation for 2025 for a bit of historical data, and then this week I'll finish the 6 month compilation, Jan to June 2026 and start monthly from July.

My take away for 2025 is watch out for deer and animals! Stay vigilant and stay safe!

The state Department of Transportation delayed the start of a major upgrade of Tinker Street in Woodstock another year, saying it needs more time for engineering. The new preliminary schedule calls for tree clearing to begin November 2028, construction on the south side in 2029 and the north side

Last night there was a major collision on Rt 212 just before the Bearsville complex. A young man on a bike was hit by a vehicle. He suffered a major compound fracture and had to be airlifted to Westchester. 💔
