HCF Hope Youth

HCF Hope Youth Colossians 2:6-7 Rooted is a ministry of Hope Chrisitan Fellowship to the teens of the church and the surrounding community.

We seek to be rooted in the love of Christ and allow that to effect the way we live in and interact with this world.

As good as goodbyes get. We put a period on the 25/26 youth group season by bidding our seniors farewell. It was an awesome night. There were games and root beer floats and prizes, but nothing could compare to the energy and unity of all the believers present. When praying for our seniors, Ally said it best, “Thank you God for this community, help us carry that seed and plant new communities wherever you lead us”. A powerful night of fellowship and celebration with awards, tears, and little bit of senior citizen bowling at the end 🎳

It was an uplifting reminder to me of why Youth Ministry matters, not because of anything us leaders do, but because of what God did in and through those seniors and what he keeps on doing.

Just because the school year is wrapping up though doesn’t mean our summer will be silent, Hope Youth has got a bunch planned between pool parties, game nights, and more! Stay tuned for updates and we’ll see you soon ❤️

The first distinct memory I have of you is when you would wear Levi™️ branded clothing every week to youth group. I guess if my name was a clothing brand I would too. Never really expected you to become someone so on fire for God though. Sharing your faith online, sharing your faith at school, teaching at youth group, and taking time to wrestle with your faith and ask God serious questions. I feel like you’ve gotten serious about your relationship with God in the past few years and honestly it fills me with joy. God is doing a good thing in you. Keep your eyes on Him as He molds and shapes you. And continue to be alert for how you can share Him with others. You have a talent for it, between your approachable nature and willingness to listen. I can’t wait to see where God takes you next, and I’m grateful I got to see this stage of your journey!

It’s our final youth group of the school year, and we’re ending it with a celebration 🥳🎉 We’ll be highlighting our seniors this week and rooting for them as they take bold steps into what God has for them next! You don’t have to be a senior to come though, all students from 6th-12th grade are invited as we have PLENTY to celebrate! It’s gonna be a great night of fun and fellowship with some delicious root beer and orange soda floats to help us beat the heat. Don’t miss out on the high energy send off, and stay tuned for all the great events coming to Hope Youth THIS SUMMER! See you there!

Let’s not talk about how I thought your name was Isabella for 3 years 😅 Instead let’s talk about your leadership from the stage as well as your willingness to speak first. Getting in front of your peers and leading worship is not easy. It takes bravery, responsibility, and energy. For you to start that at Hope Youth is something I’ll always be grateful for. As our Sunday night worship grows I can’t help but think of legacy you’re leaving! I also can’t help but be grateful for always diving into conversations. No matter the topic or the lesson you were willing to share your thoughts and get the convo going. That takes bravery too, to step out and show other students that they can engage too. Both of these things showed leadership, of doing and inviting others to follow. And best of all you did both while having fun! I can’t wait to see how God uses your ability for his kingdom work and am so glad to have had you as a part of Hope Youth!

Oh DJ. My favorite knucklehead. Fiercely competitive and always high energy, I got to see you grow from a bespectacled little dude to a room-commanding ambassador and leader. Whether it’s trips to Raisin Cane’s, or a round of flag football you always bring the fun and good vibes. You’ve been vulnerable and honest too, with regular communication and prayer with both leaders and classmates. To top it off no one has invited more people out to Hope Youth than you have. When I write it all out and look out it I think it just boils down to you being a good friend. I’m glad to know you as a friend, and look forward to seeing how God grows and shapes you in this next stage.

There’s something special about Khalil, and if you ever have the pleasure of knowing him you’ll know what I mean. He is easily the newest senior of the 2026 class, joining us only a few years ago, but he’s also one of if not the most committed. Aside from attending nearly every youth group and Wednesday night Bible study, Khalil was also *present* at those meetings. Always eager to learn more, always asking questions, always soaking up anything and everything the Spirit has for him. He’s reliable, he’s coachable, he’s so incredibly welcoming and kind, but best of all he’s an example of humility and dedication. There’s plenty of fun to be had at youth group but when I see someone come for the Lord first and bring the fun along with him too, that’s something special. I know you’ll be leaving youth group soon .__ , but you better not disappear, and you better come back. We love you, we’ll miss you, but most of all we’re excited for the man God is making you into 🫶🏻

Alright folks, if I’m honest this one hurts the most 😭 I hope no one will blame me for being impartial, but though it’s been an honor, a blessing, and a joy to be her pastor it’s an even greater honor to be her brother. Joyful, funny, deceptively gregarious, wise beyond her years, and so so supportive, Ally has grown from a p***y little tennis-ball-headed-gollum-looking-baby into a powerful woman of God. Getting to spend Sunday nights with you is just icing on the cake. Better than your pastor or brother though, I’m overjoyed to be your friend. I’m excited to see where God will take you and only a little heart broken to have to say goodbye, even if only for a little while. I love you ❤️
