Thank you to everyone supporting our efforts. This was year 3 awarding scholarships to graduating seniors. Their fascinating stories showed just how powerful 1 person can be.

It’s always difficult to review the entries. We never thought we’d be here, but we are committed to growing and continuing…and if you’re struggling you can too, the world is better with you here.

Tucker Sanders received the Red Lion Track and Field Scholarship in Memory of J. Carson Capik Scholarship. This scholarship was created in memory of J. Carson Capik who was a 4-year member of the track and field team and died unexpectedly in February 2023. This scholarship will be awarded to one member of the boys' team and one member of the girls' team to use at any trade school, 2-year, or 4-year college. The students receiving these scholarships must have competed on the track and field team for at least 2 years and demonstrate leadership, empathy, and sportsmanship. Recipients are also charged with being mindful of the battle others are fighting; to reach out, listen, and be there for them; and that a little concern goes a long way. "The epic story of tomorrow can't be written if it ends today".

When it comes to preventing su***de and supporting people who’ve lost loved ones, have their own lived experience or have been affected by su***de, community means everything. 💙

This , we want to remind you that it's through community that we gain strength and become greater than the sum of our parts. Isolation is a risk factor for su***de; and community a protective factor: a useful and lasting way of strengthening our own mental health while being there for one another.
