RAIDERS FOR CHRIST ~ NATION MINISTRY
OUR DAILY WORD: THURSDAY'S THOUGHTS With Kevin
Thursday June 18, 2026

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:17

If faith that remains inside the heart, untouched by our actions, it is incomplete. Faith in action is life changing, it moves from words to action.

In James 2:14-17, we find a direct challenge to the idea that faith can exist apart from action. James asks, “What good is it if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?” This powerful teaching addresses a false assumption that merely believing is enough. James emphasizes that true faith results in actual action. A faith that does not move us to serve and love others is dead.

The New Testament teaches that genuine faith is a faith that works. It's about more than talking about Jesus, it’s about being His hands and feet in the world. As Christians, we are called to care for the poor, the sick, and the broken, not just talk about it.

Paul’s words in Galatians 2:20 show us that faith isn’t just a mental decision; it may greatly influence our identity. He writes, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me".

Faith in Christ means our lives are no longer our own. We live for Him as we are empowered by His strength. This transformation affects how we think, how we act, and how we love.

Hebrews 11:1 tells us "Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." We no longer live for ourselves but for Christ, and through His power, we can become agents of change.
Abraham left his homeland without knowing where he was going. Moses chose to side with an enslaved people rather than live in the comfort of Pharaoh's palace. Neither of them had the full picture. Both of them moved forward anyway.

Faith isn't about waiting for all the answers or knowing how everything will turn out. It's about trusting God's promises, even when we can't see the outcome.

What that faith looks like in practice will differ from person to person. Paul says in Galatians 5:6 "The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." For some, it means loving and serving others sacrificially, including forgiving those who have wronged us. For others, it may mean a life of quiet commitment, prayer, and devotion directed wholly toward God.

True faith does not remain still. It moves us toward God, and in whatever direction He calls us. Whether that calling leads you into community or into solitude, into acts of service or into deeper prayer, the measure is not the form it takes but the faithfulness with which you follow.

I love you. But Yeshua loves you the most! Have a blessed day Raider Nation! 🕇🕆🕇

"The Rope of Life"
by Michael A. Youssef, Ph.D.

An ancient monastery sits on top of a cliff in the beautiful countryside of Portugal. Visitors to this lofty retreat are rewarded with a magnificent view. However, the only way to reach the monastery is by being hoisted up a cliff in a wicker basket by an aged monk.

One day, as a visitor prepared to leave, he turned to his guide and asked nervously, "How often do you replace this rope?" The gray-haired monk chimed, "Each time the old rope breaks."

Such a response would certainly be cause for concern, raising our anxiety. Anxiety like this—fear, doubt, and worry—can paralyze us. We may mistakenly think only non-believers live in fear of the bottom dropping out. However, many Christians are living the same way.

Here is the wondrous Truth of God: He holds the rope of our lives within His infinite, loving grasp. Nothing is strong enough to remove His shelter of protection from our lives. He knows our every move, and He is constantly aware of our deepest needs. Indeed, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? . . . No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:35, 37).

Jesus reminds us that not even one sparrow falls to the ground apart from God's knowledge and will. "[E]ven the very hairs of your head are all numbered," says Jesus. "So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows" (Matthew 10:30-31).

The next time you sense your anxiety level rising, stop and remember that God is aware of you. He loves you, and nothing can change this. You can trust Him fully. He holds you in His sovereign, loving hand. He has a powerful purpose for your life for both your blessing and the blessing of others as you seek first His Kingdom and trust Him with your days (see Psalm 90:12).

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You have a wonderful plan for all my days. I lay my fear and anxiety down before You and receive Your peace today. May I serve Your Kingdom purposes with my every breath and know the joy of living for You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"Do not worry about your life, . . . Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" (Matthew 6:25-26).

I love you. But Yeshua loves you the most! Have a blessed day Raider Nation! 🕇🕆🕇

Light of the Word
by Dr. David Jeremiah

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105

The first automobiles were equipped with gas lanterns to provide light when driving at night. Fast forward to today—modern LED headlights can illuminate the road hundreds of feet ahead. Regardless of advances in technology, there is no headlight that can provide total illumination.

The psalmist seemed to understand this when he wrote, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” The lamp of which he spoke was a small, handheld clay lamp, fueled by olive oil, that created a flame only an inch or two high. Such a lamp only provided enough light to illuminate the next few steps. The psalmist refers to God’s Word as such a lamp. And for the one who trusts in God, that is illumination enough. We don’t need to know exactly what the future holds as long as we know who holds the future. The Bible doesn’t tell us everything about the future, but it does tell us how to trust in God for the steps immediately ahead of us.

The more we read and meditate on God’s Word, the more our path will be illuminated.

Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light.

BLACK SUNDAY SERMON With PASTOR MANDO LEON
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

A hopeless life is a bitter life. Surely the heart is broken when hope is gone. Thank God, this is a rare thing. You tread upon the wild flower in the field, and for a time it is crushed; but then the next morning comes.

When the dew is on the grass, it stands erect again. And when deep trouble comes the heart may be crushed for a time, but it is generally only for a time. It is wonderful how people will recover and see there is still something left.

Here is a bankrupt of soul: their plans are frustrated, their heart is bruised. For a time they droop their head despondently, but they soon are ready to make another start.

They adapt them self to their circumstances, and find hope rising within by the wondrous means and power of the Holy Spirit; believing and abounding in hope.

“May the Lord bless you and keep you;
may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
may the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” — Numbers 6:24–26

Have a great & blessed day Raider Nation!

In Jesus Name
Keep the faith

The Expert Witness... You!
by RABBI JONATHAN CAHN

"A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is deceitful." Proverbs 14:25

How do you witness? It's much simpler than you think. Witnessing comes down to simply bearing witness. It doesn't mean you have to be impressive or eloquent, you just bear witness. Imagine you're on a jury and a guy comes in as a witness in a case and he looks slick, polished, well-rehearsed, every line's the right line, every word and mannerism is professional. Would you find him very trustworthy? Probably not. You don't believe a witness who's skilled, you believe a witness who's sincere and who's real. A witness isn't called to be skilled, smooth, or professional; a witness is called simply to bear witness to what he or she knows. That's it. So how do you witness? You just bear witness to what you know, not to what you don't know. Just be real, be sincere, and just share what you know. Do you know the Messiah? Share Him! You know He came into your life, you know He's great, and you know your life has changed. Share it! That's all there is to it. Just share what you know and you'll end up being an expert witness.

Today's Mission - Today, commit to sharing whatever you know about Messiah and be an expert witness.

"Salt and light"
by PASTOR GREG LAURIE

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
—Matthew 5:13–16

The religious leaders of Israel thought that they had eliminated the problem of Jesus when they crucified Him. But instead, they multiplied the problem. His disciples started preaching and performing miracles. It was as though Jesus had returned. And so He had—in the hearts and lives of His people.

This reminds us that one of the best arguments for the Christian faith is a transformed life. New believers are ideal advertisements for the Christian faith because their lifestyles change, their attitudes change, and even their countenances change. The greatest biography of Jesus is written in the words and actions of His people. Your godly lifestyle is a testimony, just as if you were a walking miracle, like the lame man whom Peter and John healed.

In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father” (Matthew 5:13–16 NLT).

Even if you don’t tell people that you’re a Christian, they will sense something different about you, and they will watch you. As a representative of Christ, you’re like a walking lightbulb.

If you’re being the kind of follower of Jesus that God wants you to be, if you’re being a “salty” Christian, then your lifestyle will stimulate a thirst for God in others. The greatest compliment you can get is when people want to know more, when they approach you and say, “What is it about you?” That’s your opportunity to “turn on the light.”

One paraphrase of Scripture puts it this way: “Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy” (1 Peter 3:15 MSG).

Are you ready?

I love you. But Yeshua loves you the most! Have a blessed day Raider Nation! 🕇🕆🕇

THURSDAY'S THOUGHTS With Kevin
Thursday June 11, 2026

Jesus wept.” John 11:35

"Jesus wept" is most widely known as the shortest verse in the Bible, yet it is actually one of the most revealing scriptures about our Savior's heart. Standing in front of his best friend's tomb, this God-man is about to perform an incredible miracle. He's going to raise Lazarus from the dead, but what does he do first? He pauses to share in the grief of Mary, Martha, and the other mourners.

Jesus knows that what he is about to do will bring great joy to himself and everyone around him, yet he remains fully present in the moment. He doesn’t hurry to fix the situation; instead, he connects with their pain, proving that our emotions matter greatly to God.

This moment beautifully illustrates Christ's nature—divine, yet deeply human. He feels our pain authentically, even when he knows he is about to fix the situation.
What this means for us is that we have a Savior who truly understands our sorrows. When we grieve, Jesus grieves with us.

Today, whatever you're facing, remember that Jesus meets you right where you are. He wants us to be open with our feelings, and we can rest assured that he understands both our joys and our pains. Oh, what a wonderful God we serve—One who both weeps with us and works wonders for us. God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good!

I love you. But Yeshua loves you the most! Have a blessed day Raider Nation! 🕇🕆🕇

"What Is God Doing in Your Pain?"
By Rick Warren

“We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)

Grief, loss, and pain are inevitable parts of life. But did you know that God uses these things to help you grow? He does it in three ways.
First, God uses pain to get your attention. C. S. Lewis wrote, “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain.” Pain is God’s megaphone. We rarely change when we see the light. We change when we feel the heat.
Proverbs 20:30 says, “Sometimes it takes a painful experience to make us change our ways” (GNT).

Second, God brings good out of bad. One of the most famous verses in the Bible is Romans 8:28: “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him” (NIV).

When you experience a loss, it’s an opportunity to grow in character. You can’t control the pain you go through, but you can decide whether it’s going to make you bitter or better. You decide whether it’s going to be a steppingstone or a stumbling block. Remember, even in your pain, God is working for your good.

Third, God prepares you for eternity. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, “These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. Things that are seen don’t last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. This is why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen” (CEV).

You’re not taking your car to heaven; you’re not taking your jewelry or your clothes to heaven; you’re not taking your career to heaven. But you are taking your character. You are taking you.
God is more interested in your character development than in your comfort. Why? Because when you get to heaven, you’ll have plenty of time to be comfortable. But life on earth is the get-ready stage; it’s the learning phase or the warm-up act. God uses your troubles here on earth to get you ready for an eternal glory. That’s a comfort.

When you’re in pain, you need to ask, “What is God doing?” Is he trying to get your attention? Is he trying to bring good out of bad? Is he preparing your character for heaven?
You can trust him through it all.
Talk It Over
• What does it mean that God is working for your good? Does it mean that God only lets good things happen to believers?
• Why is it often easier to focus on today’s realities than on the promise of heaven?
• How can you prepare yourself now so that you are ready to hear from God when you are in a time of pain?
Where will you spend eternity?
The Bible says you can only get to heaven by trusting in God through his Son, Jesus Christ. You cannot earn your way into heaven: “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV).
If you’re ready to commit your life to Jesus, start with this prayer:
“Dear God, you have promised that if I believe in your Son, Jesus Christ, everything I’ve ever done wrong will be forgiven, I will learn the purpose of my life, and you will accept me into your eternal home in heaven one day.

“I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward. Please help me to be faithful and do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

I love you. But Yeshua loves you the most! Have a blessed day Raider Nation! 🕇🕆🕇

"Praying for God's Will"
By Michael A. Youssef, Ph.D.

Joseph spent years confined to an Egyptian dungeon. While he had done nothing to deserve imprisonment, God knew that Joseph's faith needed to be tested. God would fulfill His promises, but first He wanted to grow Joseph's faith—strengthening Him with His presence in every circumstance. Joseph did not avoid personal surrender. He knew that if he did, he would risk missing God's will and purpose for his life—so he called upon the Lord.

If God has allowed you to settle in a difficult place—pray. But don't just pray for a way of escape. Instead, pray for the Lord to work His good pleasure into your life. If there is a need for discipline, be willing to receive it so that you will experience the blessings of God.

Trying to manipulate the Lord's will through prayer never works. Instead of solving the problem, this can lead to frustration. Therefore, we need to be willing to trust God and wait for His answer.

There will be times when we think we cannot face another trial or another minute of persecution. Jesus understands our weaknesses. The night of His arrest He prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done" (Matthew 26:42). Earlier, He had taught His disciples to pray, "[Y]our will be done," so they would know how to submit their will to God just as He had submitted His (6:10).

God knows the hurts, disappointments, and frustrations you are facing, but He longs to hear you pray what Christ prayed in the garden the night of His arrest: "Yet not as I will, but as you will" (Matthew 26:39). Is this the prayer of your heart? In your struggles, ask the Spirit to intercede for you and help you grasp the heights and depths of God's love for you. As you do, you'll be empowered to trust and obey Him in trials.

Prayer: God, I come to You in a difficult place. I pray that Your will would be accomplished in this season of my life. Help me to trust You and wait on You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"But while Joseph was there in the prison, the LORD was with him, . . ." (Genesis 39:20-21).

I love you. But Yeshua loves you the most! Have a blessed day Raider Nation! 🕇🕆🕇

OUR DAILY WORD with DR DAVID JEREMIAH
Monday June 8, 2026

And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52

The devil is constantly throwing caltrops in our pathway. We’re to be filled with the Spirit, but he endeavors to deflate us. Have you felt deflated recently? The normal and victorious Christian experience means being filled with the Spirit. When you’re filled with the Spirit of God, your life will be different. You will have a song in your heart, a spirit of thanksgiving in your personality, and a yearning to bless others (Ephesians 5:18-21). You’ll also have a contagious motivation to share the Word of God with others (Acts 4:31).

Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your steps as you choose to have a positive influence on others. Open your life fully to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask Him to keep you inflated and filled with His Spirit today.

The Spirit-filled life is not a deluxe edition of Christianity. It is part and parcel of the total plan of God for His people.
