-Bible
Beginning with the most solid foundation for all of life and learning, the Bible instruction period will be critical for establishing a Christian worldview. Bible lessons,
verse memorization, prayer and singing will create an environment in which the students may experience God’s truth and love.
-History
Sonlight’s History materials are intentional in laying the groundwork for an understanding that the world and its diverse people are created by God. An appreciation for other cultures and foreign languages is introduced early on.
-Language Arts
Realizing that the students entering the Academy will have a variety of levels of
knowledge in reading readiness, the Language Arts curriculum is flexible in content to be covered. All students will hear classics of literature read aloud and will interact with the stories through engaging activities. Each student will be guided toward reading readiness at a pace and level appropriate for the student.
-Science
Through hands-on activities, students will learn the uniqueness of God’s creation all
around them through instruction and experimentation in science. The goal is to nurture curiosity and appreciation for the wonders of the natural world.
