Happy National 4-H Week! 🍀 💚

At Jamestown 4-H Educational Center, young people do more than spend time at camp. They learn to lead, work together, solve problems, try new things, and build confidence through hands-on experiences.

From the waterfront to the archery range, from campfires to leadership opportunities, every experience helps young people become Beyond Ready for whatever comes next.

Here’s to the experiences, relationships, and opportunities that make 4-H so special! 🌱

We’re excited to share that Jamestown 4-H Educational Center has received $5,000 through the Virginia Wildlife Grant Program to support wildlife viewing activities!

Wildlife viewing offers youth meaningful ways to explore the natural world. This grant will provide binoculars, spotting scopes, field guides, trail cameras, bird and bat houses, feeders, and other hands-on learning resources that will help campers observe wildlife up close, discover Virginia’s native species and habitats, and deepen their appreciation for the outdoors. 🌱

We’re grateful for this support from the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources and the opportunity to give young people meaningful ways to explore and connect with nature!

This program is supported by the 2025 Virginia Wildlife Grant Program through a partnership between the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources and the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia.
