Happy Friday, friends!

We’re planning for a fantastic RYLA turnout, and it’s time to submit those club sponsorship commitments!

Think of the young leaders in your community who could use a little encouragement, a new challenge, and the chance to discover what they’re capable of. Your club can help make that happen!

So… how many students will YOUR club sponsor?

Send in your club’s commitment so we can keep the planning rolling. Let’s give these young leaders something to get excited about!

Please reach out if you have any questions. [email protected]

Big challenges. Brave swings. Bold leaders. That RLYA spirit reminds us to believe in our potential, lift others up, and find the courage to grow on the course and in life, leadership starts with showing up and taking the next brave step! YOU can do hard things.

Hey Rotarians and Friends of Rotarians...
You probably already know a future leader.

The student who makes sure no one is left out. The quiet problem-solver. The young person with big ideas who’s still finding the confidence to share them.

They might not call themselves a leader—yet. A little encouragement from you could help them see what’s possible.

Rotarians, help us recruit our next group of RYLA participants! Think of a young person who could benefit, share the opportunity, and tell them why you thought of them.

Who could you encourage with five simple words: “I think you’d be great”?

Good Morning, Rotary Clubs: Help us put perspective into action!

87 days to go! Our goal is to have ALL student leaders and Rotary club sponsors signed up for RYLA 2027 by December 31, 2026.

Do you know a student who demonstrates:
~Character
~ Potential
~Curiosity
~Leadership—or the spark to develop it?

Look beyond the GPA. Think of the quiet contributor, the creative thinker, or the student who hasn’t yet recognized their own potential.

Sometimes, “I see a leader in you” is the invitation that changes everything.

Let’s think beyond our usual circles, encourage students to apply, and help them connect with a sponsoring Rotary club. Together, we can help young leaders discover what’s possible!

Ready to nominate a student or sign up your club as a sponsor?
Visit ryla7600.com or contact me directly. I’d love to connect—and I’m happy to speak to your club!

Ten Rotarians. A shared purpose. A little encouragement tucked into every kit.

Members of the James City County Rotary Club showed up for CDR (Child Development Resources) to assemble Rookie Mom Kits, each with a handwritten note offering encouragement as new moms begin this chapter.

Sometimes service is packing supplies. Sometimes it’s putting pen to paper to remind someone, “You’ve got this—and you’re not alone.”

Thank you to our 10 Rotarians and to CDR for the opportunity to support local families. This is Service Above Self in action!

A little perspective can change what we see—and what we believe is possible.

Leadership doesn’t always look like standing at the front of the room. Sometimes it looks like inviting someone to join your table, listening to a different point of view, or being the first to say, “How can I help?”

You can lead right where you are.

Students:
Your ideas, kindness, and willingness to try matter. You don’t have to have everything figured out to make a difference.

Rotarians:
Think about the young people in your community. Who might see themselves differently because you recognized their potential? A conversation about RYLA could be a meaningful place to start.

This week, look for leadership in an unexpected place—including in yourself.
