⚠️ Use Extreme Caution on Alvin C. York Highway ⚠️

Heavy rains combined with loose gravel have created extremely dangerous driving conditions. Large pools of water—3 to 4 inches deep—are collecting in the grooved areas of the roadway, increasing the risk of hydroplaning and loss of control.

Your safety is important to us. Please slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and use extreme caution while traveling through this area

⚠️ TRAFFIC ADVISORY ⚠️

Please use extreme caution while traveling on Alvin C. York Highway between the traffic light at Crossroads and Condra Switch Road.

This section of roadway is currently under construction and presents EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS driving conditions. Motorists should be aware of:

• Uneven lanes
• Soft shoulders
• Significant dips in the roadway
• Grooved pavement surfaces
• Ongoing roadwork and changing traffic patterns

Drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed, increase following distance, avoid distractions, and remain alert for construction crews and equipment in the area.

🚒 Congratulations to Firefighter Ferro and Firefighter Cross on successfully completing the Introduction to Fire Department Pumpers course through the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy this past weekend at the Smoky Mountain Fire & Rescue Training Weekend!

This course provides firefighters with the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills needed to safely operate fire apparatus pumps, establish reliable water supplies, and effectively deliver water during emergency incidents. The training combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on experience that strengthens firefighting operations and emergency response capabilities.

We are proud of Firefighter Ferro and Firefighter Cross for their dedication to expanding their knowledge and skills. Their commitment to ongoing training helps ensure Crossroads Fire Department remains prepared to serve and protect our community.

USE EXTREME CAUTION ON TEAGUE ROAD ! The Marion County Highway Department and Crossroads Fire Department have cut and removed trees from the roadway however some debris and limbs are in area!

Election day today. Please be mindful that the fire department is an active fire station. Do not block bays for any reason. Also, will you go to the polls our food pantry is extremely low. If you are able please help us out.

We want to give a shout out to everyone that came out and supported us today! We live in a wonderful community! We cannot even begin to thank everyone who made it a success. Thank you to everyone that donated, vendors that set up, the food trucks, petting zoo, THP, and Lifeforce. Congratulations to all our raffle winners! Tommy Richards was the winner of the Henry riffle.
