💚 119 Backpacks. Countless Reminders That Kids Matter. 💚

Last week, our Executive Director, Renae Furnee, was invited to attend Edward Jones Development Day at Newfields, and she was absolutely blown away by the kindness and generosity of this incredible group!

Together, Edward Jones employees came together to support children in foster care, filling 119 backpacks with essentials like soap, lotion, blankets, and so much more!

For children experiencing the uncertainty of a transition, these backpacks are more than just supplies. They are a reminder that they matter, they are seen, and they are loved. ❤️

To the amazing team at Edward Jones, thank you for showing up for kids in foster care in such a meaningful way. Your generosity will make a difference in the lives of children across Indiana, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the Resources of Hope family!

🌟 We’re Looking for a Teen Connect Mentor! 🌟

Do you have a heart for teens and a passion for making a difference? Resources of Hope is searching for a dedicated volunteer to join our Teen Connect team as a mentor!

This is a volunteer position with a commitment of one Friday night per month.

We’re looking for someone who:
💚 Loves working with teens
💚 Has experience and/or knowledge of teens in foster care
💚 Understands trauma-informed care
💚 Wants to build positive, encouraging relationships

Our Teen Connect mentors play a powerful role in creating a safe, fun, and supportive space where foster youth can connect, grow, and feel valued.

Thank you United Way of Johnson County, Indiana for allowing us to share this amazing donation of baby formula. We LOVE partnering with our community! Because of YOU we are able to provide physical items to over 87 kids in foster & kinship care every month. 💚

If you have a need for this formula, please come see us Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 9am-5pm. Our address is: 309 E Main St., Suite B, Whiteland 46184.

💚 A HUGE Thank You to Everwise Credit Union! 💚

We had such a wonderful day with these 16 amazing volunteers from Everwise Credit Union who joined us for their annual Day of Giving! 🎉

These incredible volunteers rolled up their sleeves and jumped right in, helping us put away our summer clothing, hang Birthday Blessing outfits, and tidy up our space. Every task they tackled helps us stay organized and ready to serve the children and families who count on us!

We are so grateful for organizations like Everwise Credit Union that give their time, energy, and hearts to support our mission. Your willingness to serve makes a real difference for children in foster and kinship care throughout Indiana. 💚

Thank you, Everwise, for showing up, pitching in, and being part of the Resources of Hope family! We couldn't do what we do without wonderful community partners like you!

💚 A Friendly Reminder About Donations 💚

We're so grateful for our community’s generosity and for everyone who thinks of Resources of Hope when cleaning out closets and organizing their homes! Your support helps us provide essential items to youth in foster and kinship care across Indiana.

We do want to share a gentle reminder that we are unable to accept leftover yard sale items or general household goods. We also ask that ALL donated clothing, shoes, toys, and other children’s items be in nice, very gently used condition and ready for another child to enjoy.

Please remember that kiddos in foster care deserve the very best we can give them. Many of these youth have already experienced so much change and uncertainty. We want every child who walks through our doors to feel valued and to receive items that are clean, cared for, and something they can feel good about wearing or taking home.

Before donating, please take a moment to ask yourself: Would I feel good about giving this item to a child I love? If the answer is yes, we would be happy to receive it!
