🎉🍦 Our Kindergarteners celebrated being our “Candy Wars Champions” today with a Handel’s Ice Cream party! 🍦🎉 Each child got to choose between Vanilla, Chocolate, Cotton Candy, or Oreo… and of course we added in sprinkles! Yum! 😋 Thank you, Mr. Ted Yatsko with Handel’s Southern Pines, for coordinating with us to make this party a sweet success! 🍦

A big Trojan THANK YOU to Dr. Alexander C. Lemons, MD, with Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, for supporting Sandhills Farm Life Elementary as a GOLD Level School Sponsor! ♥️💛

Dr. Lemons specializes in orthopaedic spine surgery, caring for both adult and pediatric patients with a variety of spinal conditions. His areas of expertise include minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), and lumbar (lower-back) conditions, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, scoliosis, and spine injuries. He also performs cervical disc replacement, a procedure that can help preserve movement in the neck.

We are so grateful to have dedicated medical professionals like Dr. Lemons in our community, providing specialized care to patients of all ages while also investing in the success of our students, teachers, and school!

🍬🍭🍬 Be a part of our Fall Festival by hosting a trunk for Trunk or Treat! 🍬🍭🍬

👻 Families who sign up for a Trunk or Treat parking space will receive one free wrist band for our Fall Festival. PTA provides all of the candy 🍬🍭🍬 that will be passed out and there is no fee for hosting a trunk.

There will be a contest for best decorated trunk. The prize is a $50 Amazon gift card. Cars need to be in place by 4:00pm on October 16th when we close the roads off. Thank you for supporting Sandhills Farm Life Elementary School and for helping make this the best Fall Festival yet! 🎃🎃🎃

🍭🍬🍭🍬CANDY WARS!!!🍬🍭🍬🍭

The PTA storage closet has been rumbling and grumbling because the Candy Monsters are ready to awake from their slumber and gobble up some CANDY!!! 😈

We’ll be placing our monsters at both entrances later this week, and your child can “feed the monsters” on their way into school from October 5-October 14. The grade level with the most POUNDS in candy will win an ice cream party from Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream! 🍦

Only unopened bags will be accepted. Make sure you LABEL the bags with your child’s name and (most importantly) their GRADE LEVEL! ⬅️ The grade level part is very important. We will announce the winning grade on October 14th.

All candy will be used for our upcoming Fall Festival on Friday, October 16! 🚜

May the sweetest grade level win! 🥇
