🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet the Amazing People Behind Partners for Children & Families! 🌟

This week, we're recognizing Judy Heffner, our NC Pre-K Administrator!
While Judy didn't complete our Staff Spotlight questionnaire, we'd still like to recognize her and the role she plays at Partners for Children & Families.

Judy joined our team one year ago and oversees the NC Pre-K Program, working with child care providers, schools, and families to help ensure children have access to high-quality early learning opportunities that prepare them for kindergarten.

In addition to managing NC Pre-K, Judy coordinated our annual Summer Reading Stations program this year, helping bring books, literacy activities, and learning opportunities to children and families throughout Moore County during the summer months.

The work behind both of these programs helps connect young children and families with valuable resources that support learning and school readiness.

Yesterday, our Partners for Children & Families team wore PINK in honor of the incredible legacy of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! 📚✨

And when we say our team showed up, we mean EVERYONE showed up! 💕 Even our staff working from home and those enjoying some well-deserved vacation time joined in on the fun! 🩷🏖️💻

It was such a sweet reminder that no matter where we are, we’re all connected by a shared commitment to putting books in the hands of children and building brighter futures through the power of reading. 📖🌟

Thank you, Dolly, for inspiring generations and reminding us that a little imagination can go a very long way. 💗

💗 Remembering Dolly & Celebrating Her Legacy 📚✨

Today, we join millions around the world in mourning the loss of the incomparable Dolly Parton—a woman whose music, generosity, joy, and unwavering love for children touched generations.

For us at Partners for Children & Families, Dolly’s legacy holds an especially meaningful place in our hearts. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children in our community receive the gift of a book every month—opening doors to imagination, learning, dreams, and possibility.

And while we grieve Dolly, we are also incredibly grateful for this reassurance: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will continue. 💗

Dolly didn’t build the Imagination Library simply to last during her lifetime. She built it to last for the children whose lives would be changed by a book placed in their hands.

What a beautiful legacy.

To honor Dolly and the incredible dream she shared with the world, we created this collage celebrating our Good Golly, Ms. Dolly campaign sponsors and supporters—the people and organizations in our community who have helped make her vision possible right here in Moore County.

🌟 Thank you for believing in Dolly’s dream.
🌟 Thank you for investing in our children.
🌟 Thank you for helping put books into the hands and hearts of local children.

Dolly may have dreamed the Imagination Library, but communities like ours help carry that dream forward.

So today, we remember her with grateful hearts—not only for the songs she gave us, but for the countless children who will grow up with books, stories, and bigger dreams because of her.

📚💗 Her story may have come to an end, but her dream is still being written—one book, one child, and one community at a time.

Their support of our Essentials Care Pantry – part of our Family Resource Center - helps us provide diapers, wipes, hygiene items, and other necessities to children and families facing challenges. Together, we're helping ensure that every child has the essentials they need to thrive.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet the Amazing People Behind Partners for Children & Families! 🌟

This week, we're excited to introduce Jeff, our Fund Development Specialist!

While Jeff didn't fill out our Staff Spotlight questionnaire, we still wanted to take a moment to recognize him and officially welcome him to the Partners for Children & Families family.

Jeff joined our team in April. In his role, he helps advance our fundraising efforts while leading work on The Center for Excellence initiative.

Although he's the newest member of our staff, Jeff has a willingness to learn, and a commitment to helping our organization grow. His work behind the scenes plays an important role in building partnerships and securing resources that will benefit children and families throughout Moore County.

At Partners for Children & Families, every team member contributes to our mission in a unique way, and we're excited to see all that Jeff will accomplish in the years ahead.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet the Amazing People Behind Partners for Children & Families! 🌟

This week, we're excited to recognize Kathy, one of our dedicated Parent Coaches!
Although Kathy chose not to complete our Staff Spotlight questionnaire, we couldn't let this series pass without recognizing the incredible impact she has on our team.

For the past year and a half, Kathy has been a valued part of the Partners for Children & Families family, supporting parents as they build confidence and strengthen relationships with their children through our parenting programs.

One of the first things you'll notice about Kathy is her warm smile. She has a calming presence that brings a sense of peace to our office and helps create a welcoming environment for both coworkers and the families we serve.

Whether she's offering encouragement, jumping in to help with a project, or simply taking the time to listen, Kathy is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed. Her kindness, compassion, and servant's heart make our workplace a better place every day.

At Partners for Children & Families, we believe that the relationships we build matter, and Kathy exemplifies that through the care and support she shows to everyone around her.

Did someone say, "BACKPACK PACKING PARTY!?" Yep, it was us!

Join us Monday, August 17 from 11 AM–2 PM for our Day of Service as we pack school supply bags and backpacks for local kids getting ready to head back to school! These backpacks will be distributed through our community partners, Family Promise and Partners for Children and Families, to help local children start the school year ready to learn.

Come anytime between 11 and 2! We’ll put out new grade-level bags at the top of each hour, so if the grade level you’re hoping to pack isn’t available when you arrive, don’t worry—we’ll restock at the next hour.

We can't wait to see you!
