The American Legion has released its new flag web platform in time for Flag Day on June 14. The user-friendly page has everything you need to teach flag education, etiquette and respect, to purchase flags, and to have all your flag questions answered.

On this day in 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution declaring the creation and design of the U.S. flag. It proclaimed “that the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation."
May the flag forever wave over our nation, proudly protected by Veterans who have bravely fought for our freedom.

Today, we celebrate the 251st Birthday of the United States Army!

Since June 14, 1775, generations of soldiers have answered the call to serve, defending our nation and protecting the freedoms we hold dear. From the Revolutionary War to today's missions around the globe, the Army's legacy is one of courage, commitment, and selfless service.

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs proudly honors all soldiers—past and present—whose dedication and sacrifice have helped shape our nation and safeguard its future.
