There’s something special about a night where everything slows down… and what matters most comes into focus.

This past week at Fair Play Camp School, we had the joy of hosting our Mother & Son Banquet—an evening filled with laughter, stories, and moments that won’t soon be forgotten.

For many of our boys, this wasn’t just a nice event. It was a meaningful opportunity to honor their moms, to say “thank you,” and to spend intentional time together—something that can be rare in the middle of life’s challenges.

The room was full of smiles, proud moms, and young men stepping up in ways that truly mattered—pulling out chairs, sharing kind words, and showing appreciation from the heart.

These are the moments that build confidence.
These are the moments that strengthen families.
These are the moments that last.

There’s something special about worship in the woods. 🌲

On Sunday mornings at Fair Play, the boys gather for chapel—sitting on simple wooden benches, surrounded by trees, listening to the truth of Scripture shared in a setting that feels both peaceful and powerful. It’s a time to slow down, reflect, and be reminded that they are seen, known, and deeply loved by God.

Then on Wednesday evenings, we come together again for vesper services. As the day winds down, hearts open up. Questions are asked. Stories are shared. The gospel is spoken clearly and personally—often planting seeds that will continue to grow long after camp ends.

These moments aren’t just part of the schedule. They are part of the foundation.

In chapel and vespers, boys hear about grace. They learn about forgiveness, purpose, and hope. They discover that faith isn’t just something talked about—it’s something lived out in community, in honesty, and in the quiet strength of God’s Word.

Thank you for making these sacred opportunities possible. Every service, every Scripture shared, every conversation after the message—it all matters more than we can measure.

Sometimes the most important moments at Fair Play don’t happen during an activity.

They happen right here.

On a bench.
In the quiet.
When a boy has something heavy on his heart.

Our Chiefs are more than leaders. They are role models. They walk beside the boys every day—teaching, guiding, encouraging—but they also sit with them when life feels confusing or overwhelming.

When a boy has a problem, he doesn’t have to face it alone.

A Chief is there to listen.
To ask good questions.
To offer wisdom.
To remind him who he is and who he can become.

This steady presence builds trust. And trust builds character.

💙 A Night That Means More Than a Dinner 💙

One of the most meaningful events at Fair Play Camp School is our Mother/Son Banquet. It’s a night filled with excitement, proud smiles, and moments that stay with families long after the evening ends.

For the boys, it’s a chance to honor their moms—often in ways they’ve never done before. For the moms, it’s precious, uninterrupted time with their sons. Laughter, conversation, and connection fill the room. These evenings help strengthen bonds and build confidence in boys who truly need it.

At our last banquet, the boys wore tuxedos—and they looked incredible. Heads held high. Big smiles. Moms absolutely loved seeing their sons dressed up and stepping into the moment with confidence and pride.

Our next Mother/Son Banquet is coming up in MarchTuxedo rentals cost $100 per boy.

What a night to remember at the Fair Play Boys’ Christmas Banquet. ✨

The boys were all dressed up, the room was candlelit, and the tables were set with incredible food. Laughter filled the room as the boys enjoyed a memorable evening that made them feel honored, valued, and celebrated.

Moments like this are about more than a meal—they’re about showing these young men that they matter, that they are worth celebrating, and that joy belongs to them. Thank you to everyone who made this beautiful Christmas tradition possible and helped create memories these boys will carry with them. 🎄

What a beautiful evening at Fair Play Camp School 💙

Our Boys’ Gift Evening began the best way possible—with the reading of the Christmas story, reminding us why this season matters so much. Then came the moment the boys had been waiting for… opening their gifts. 🎄

Each gift was specially chosen for that boy—something that fit his interests, his personality, and his story. The smiles, surprise, and laughter said more than words ever could.

None of this happens by accident. These gifts were made possible by generous donors who gave so thoughtfully, turning ordinary packages into moments of joy, dignity, and love.

Thank you for helping our boys experience Christmas in a way that tells them they are seen, known, and deeply valued. ❤️

There was a special kind of joy in the air as the boys at Fair Play piled onto the buses, ready for an evening of Christmas caroling in the neighborhood. With red cheeks, big smiles, and a few nervous laughs, they stepped off the buses and began to sing—filling the cold night with warmth, laughter, and familiar songs.

Door after door opened to surprised faces that quickly turned into smiles. Some neighbors sang along. Others simply stood and listened, clearly moved by the moment. What started as a simple caroling trip became a beautiful exchange of joy—the boys blessing the neighborhood, and the neighborhood blessing the boys right back.

When the buses returned to Fair Play, the night ended the best way possible. Cookies. Hot chocolate. And plenty of happy chatter as the boys relived their favorite moments of the evening. It was one of those simple nights that reminded everyone involved how powerful kindness, music, and shared joy can be.

Moments like these don’t just spread holiday cheer—they create memories the boys will carry with them for a long time.

🍪 Cookie Day at Fair Play Camp School 🍪

There are days at camp that smell a little sweeter than others—and Cookie Day is definitely one of them.

The Chuckwagon was buzzing with laughter, flour-dusted tables, and boys entirely focused on rolling dough, shaping cookies, and (carefully 😉) adding just the correct number of red candies. Hands got messy. Smiles came easily. And teamwork showed up in all the best ways.

Moments like this are about so much more than cookies. They’re about learning patience, helping one another, trying something new, and simply enjoying being kids in a place where they are safe, valued, and loved.

Thank you for making days like this possible at Fair Play. Every simple joy is part of a much bigger story being written in these boys’ lives—and we’re grateful to share it with you. ❤️
