Marsh Lights returns to the Westford Music Series this Sunday, October 18, from 4 to 5 pm at the Westford Common Hall.

The Vermont quintet plays acoustic folk and bluegrass built on Colby Crehan's songwriting and close three-part harmonies. Colby sings lead, joined by Ryan Crehan on banjo, Charley Eiseman on guitar, Stephen Waud on mandolin, and Mitch Barron on upright bass. The band has won Vermont Vocalist of the Year and Vermont Song of the Year, and their latest album, Cover the Water, was recorded live in Colchester.

Admission is by free-will donation, and all of it goes to the band. We'll also hold a pie raffle to support the hall. Come early for a good seat!

Thank you to everyone who came out to H***y Tonk Night at Westford Common Hall last Friday. Around 70 neighbors and friends filled the hall, and the dance floor stayed full all night.

Thanks to Coane, Rowell & Schabner for the music, Jean Elizabeth for the two-step lesson and for dancing with us all evening, and Westford Provisions for the wonderful food and bar. Thanks also to our raffle donors and to the board members and volunteers who made it happen.

Our last pop-up yoga class of the season is this Sunday, 10/11, from 9 to 10am at the Westford Common Hall. Pay what you can, and bring your own mat and props. Hope to see you there!

Tomorrow 10/2! Tickets online until 1pm (suggested $35), or $40 at the door. Doors at 6, free beginners two-step lesson at 6:30, and Coane, Rowell & Schabner with Nick Aloi on drums from 7:30. Cash bar and small bites, a prize raffle, a 50/50, and a photo booth.

No dancing experience needed, and no boots required.

Westford Common Hall is turning into a Texas h***y tonk on Friday, October 2.

Live country and western swing from Coane, Rowell & Schabner with Nick Aloi on drums. A real dance floor. A free two-step lesson at 6:30 so nobody has to know what they're doing.

Buy by September 25 and you'll get five tickets at the door for our prize raffle: Smuggs and Bolton lift tickets, a Spirit of Ethan Allen cruise, ABBA tribute tickets at the Flynn, Lake Monsters tickets, Petra Cliffs passes, Pilates classes at Sunnybrook Wellness, and a portrait photo session.
