Thank you to the Fairfax Fire Department for pumping out the museum basement this evening!

We went before the Fairfax Selectboard on Monday to begin exploring options for the museum building.

Fix, move or sell? That’s the question the Fairfax selectboard faced Monday night over the future of the historical society’s museum.

If you would like to attend a Fairfax Historical Society meeting, we will be at the Town Offices tomorrow, Tuesday, July 28th at 6:30pm. Our primary discussion will be about the museum building.

From Fairfax Community Library Town Librarian Sue Wade:

Please invite your friends at the Historical Society to the Town Office for an open house Saturday the 7th from 10-1. We’ll have the opportunity for people to do some research and there will be refreshments and door prizes ( though not very exciting ones!) Sheri Rainville and Sally Sweet have been combing through the Fairfax Room at the school and have brought some artifacts over to live in the new glass cabinet.
Also we will be opening up our satellite library, and people will be able to check out books!
Thanks for getting the word out!
