You’ve finished your main project and have some leftover paint? Grab some heavier weight paper and layer that paint with a stencil! Contrasting colors are great, tonal works well. The goal is to not be precious about it and use that paint to just play around. The stencil adds some structure without being fussy.

It's Clue Weekend at Craftlab so I charted this design inspired by Mrs. White's infamous breakdown-cum-confession (IYKYK). You can see the early drafts of the hands were pretty silly and I made a lot of changes mid-flight. But I'm really happy with how it came out! This is 16 or 18 pt Aida and I used variegated red for the text and lips. Black for the rest. All supplies are in the studio if you want to give a try!

It’s September, and Craftlab turns ONE! To celebrate, we’re adding a new saint to the Craftlab pantheon: Tim Curry.

All month long, we're making arts and crafts inspired by Clue, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Legend. Soundtracks will be rocking, movies will be streaming, pearls and rhinestones will be dripping.

Ingredients:
3 sheets of tissue paper (2 light, 1 dark)
Half and half water and school glue
Chunky confetti
Embroidery floss

Optional:
Glitter glue for cover
Beads for the binding
