✨Social Event & Supporting Our Local Students!✨

Today, members of the West Des Moines Rotary Club had the pleasure of visiting Café V at Valley High School! We enjoyed a delicious lunch and a wonderful visit to Valley High School - WDMCS while learning more about this great program.

Café V provides students with valuable hands-on experience, helping them develop real-world skills in hospitality, food service, teamwork, and customer service. It’s wonderful to see students learning, growing, and preparing for their future through opportunities like this! 👏

Thank you to the students and staff who welcomed us and made our visit so enjoyable. We loved the food, the hospitality, and the opportunity to see this outstanding program in action! 🧡

🌳Service Project Highlights🌳 The West Des Moines Rotary Club was out in the community today for one of our favorite service projects—our tree planting event in partnership with Trees Forever!

We’re proud to participate in tree planting twice a year, helping beautify our community and create a lasting impact for generations to come. Today’s event had a fantastic turnout, with four of our Interact Club students joining us, along with many Rotarians who brought their kids to lend a hand. 👏

It was wonderful to see Rotarians, students, and families working side by side—planting trees, getting a little dirty, and growing a greener community together! 🌱🌳🙌

A big thank you to everyone who came out and to Trees Forever for partnering with us on this meaningful project. We love seeing our Rotary family grow while helping our community grow, too! 💚

✨Interact Club Highlights✨The Rotary Club of West Des Moines actively supports local youth by sponsoring and mentoring the West Des Moines Schools Interact Club. Today, at the annual Activities and Clubs fair, Rotarians join student leaders to help answer questions, share service opportunities, and recruit new members. Through mentorship and resources, Rotary empowers these high school students to plan meaningful service projects and embrace the motto of "Service Above Self." This partnership reflects Rotary's commitment to developing young leaders and making a lasting, positive impact across the community.
