Queens of West Unity Pageant

April 8 was National Pageant Day. I may be a day late, but I still want to recognize the incredible young ladies from our town who step on that stage each year.

Pageants are about so much more than the sparkle. They build confidence, teach life skills like interviewing and public speaking, and encourage giving back to the community.
As a director, one of my favorite things to witness is the sisterhood that forms. These girls may be competing, but they’re also cheering each other on and lifting each other up every step of the way.

It’s a beautiful thing—and it’s what pageantry is really all about. 💛

After moments like the one we shared yesterday, we’re often asked how people can be part of Branches of Blessings.

Sometimes it looks like something big.
But most of the time, it’s the simple, everyday needs that make the biggest difference.

We help collect everyday household and personal care items like:

• toilet paper
• paper towels
• paper plates
• trash bags

• laundry soap & softener
• dish soap
• hand soap

• cleaning supplies
• disinfecting wipes

• shampoo & conditioner
• body wash
• toothpaste & toothbrushes
• deodorant
• feminine care items
• children’s care items
(diapers, wipes, tear-free wash)

These are the kinds of things that help ease the burden for families walking through a difficult season.

Some of my most favorite events occur thru the year: PAGEANTS!
I adore the queen contestants and admire their dedication and hard work thru the year. They are our young girls representing our towns and county. Some even go onto compete at other levels and pageants in the state. They compete for scholarships, not just a crown. I photograph their headshots and donate a photo to Miss Photogenic in each category. I also donate a crowned queen photo to each of them. I'm in awe of these young ladies! Congratulations to the Queens of Williams County!

We are beyond proud of our queens! Our Miss West Unity Nayah won best smile. Teen Miss Charlotte won photogenic, best hair, and volunteerism awards. Junior Miss Bailee won best dressed, congeniality, onstage question, and was crowned your 2026 Junior Miss Williams County. Little Miss Cecelia won top interview, best dressed, and was crowned your 2026 Little Miss Williams County.

We are so proud of you ladies! Congratulations to all the contestants who competed last night.
