Reminder!

Just a reminder that our 3rd Annual Blood Drive is happening this upcoming Monday, June 15th from 1-7pm.

Thank you to all those community members who have already signed up for an appointment - many of our time slots have filled! But we still have plenty more, and we are just about halfway to our goal of appointments made prior to the event (although you can most certainly come in as a walk-in!)

We were privileged to perform the Nightingale Tribute for Nurse Carol Streichert this afternoon, formally recognizing her dedicated service and releasing her from duty for the final time. We will proudly carry on her legacy,.. we will take it from here Carol…

This evening we had the solemn privilege to share the Nightingale Tribute for Nurse Phyllis Truiano.

Phyllis Truiano earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Rockland Community College. While working full-time and raising her family, she continued her education, commuting to SUNY New Paltz to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Throughout a distinguished 40-year nursing career, Phyllis devoted herself to caring for others in a variety of healthcare settings. She served patients at hospitals in The Bronx, as well as at Montefiore Nyack Hospital and Phelps Hospital, where she concluded her hospital career before retirement. In addition to her work on several specialized hospital units, she also provided compassionate care through home health services.

Her final professional role was as Nurse Director at Camp Venture in Nanuet, where her leadership, dedication, and commitment to the well-being of others continued to leave a lasting impact.

Phyllis… we will take it from here..
