The Montefiore Nyack Foundation joins our hospital and community partners in mourning the sudden passing of Christine “Chrissy” Mazzuca.

Chrissy was a familiar and beloved presence in our Emergency Department, known for her warmth, humor and kindness. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and the entire Nyack Community Ambulance Corps family during this difficult time.

Chrissy will be deeply missed by our entire Hospital family and community. May she rest in peace.

We were devastated to learn of the untimely passing of Chris Ann Mazzuca this weekend. Many of us interacted with Chrissy on a daily basis in the Montefiore Nyack ER. She was always a friendly face in the ER, always willing to crack a joke, make small talk, and make you smile even on a tough call.

Our thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends, the Montefiore Nyack staff that worked alongside her, as well as our brothers and sisters at Congers-Valley Cottage Volunteer Ambulance Corps where she was an EMT.

Rest in peace Chrissy, you will be missed deeply!

What a day it was! We're looking back on our inaugural Derby Royale, and feeling grateful for everyone who came out in their best hats and bow ties to support Montefiore Nyack Foundation.
