Inn Ministries We are a refuge for the hurting through our school, church, and outreach programs. The Inn had its beginnings in the early 90′s.

Our main focus was and continues to be the unchurched members of our community: San Cristóbal Verapaz, Guatemala. We emphasize Christ centered family relationships, work related relationships and community relationships. We have concentrated our efforts on long range programs, such as education and community involvement, building a trust level with the local authorities and business establishments, which in turn opens doors enabling us to minister effectively in our society. Although we hold worship services here at the Inn, we don’t consider them to be our end; rather a means by which to equip the believers to be life givers in their neighborhoods. In September of 1993 we purchased one acre of land on which to build the Inn, a refuge for those that find themselves beaten down on the Jericho Road. God has been faithful to bring many friends and neighbors to our gate for spiritual and emotional healing. The number of Inn Keepers has greatly increased since those small beginnings in 1993 ever expanding our circle of influence.

With just one week left in the school year here in Guatemala, the classrooms at El Mesón are still full of stories. Some students are rehearsing for their closing ceremonies, others are sharing their final moments in class, while behind every scene, teachers and staff continue working to keep everything moving forward.

And in the middle of all these different moments, one thing brings them together: every person is contributing to a story much bigger than this school year—the lives of the next generation 🇬🇹

A Refuge Along the Way.

In Guatemala, Children’s Day is a day set aside to celebrate childhood—and this year, our middle and high school students chose to take that celebration beyond the walls of El Mesón.

They visited a nearby community to spend the day with children there, bringing games, food, laughter, and most importantly, the opportunity to share the love of Jesus.

For our students, this was more than a day away from the classroom. It was a chance to live what we hope they are learning every day:

What God gives us becomes an opportunity to serve someone else. 🤍

Global One Day created intentional space for our leadership team to listen, evaluate, ask honest questions, and look together at where we are and where we are going.

It was a time to make sure the work ahead continues to reflect the vision God has entrusted to us and the purpose behind everything we do at El Mesón.

Because stewarding well what God places in our hands isn’t simply about doing more. It’s about making sure what we do matters—for the people we serve today and for the generations that will follow.

Pause. Listen. Align. Move forward with purpose.

For a few days in Ecuador, one road brought everyone together.

There was service, prayer, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to see God at work through Family Camp.

Then, the road continued in different directions.

The Guatemala team returned home, while our founders continued on to the United States, including a Vision Dinner in Miami—creating new opportunities to share the vision, strengthen relationships, and invite others to be part of what God is doing in Guatemala.

Before going separate ways, there was one more moment together: prayer.

Not because the mission was ending, but because it was continuing.

Different places. One Kingdom purpose.

A few weeks ago, this church gathered around a team and prayed as they sent them to Ecuador.

Today, some of that team stood before the same church—this time carrying stories.

Stories of people they met.
Moments of service.
Things God taught them along the way.

Because mission doesn’t end when the plane lands back home.

We go. We serve. We listen. And we come home carrying stories that remind all of us what God is doing beyond our own walls.

Today, Ecuador came home with them. 🇬🇹🤍🇪🇨

Somewhere between the selfies, the laughter, and all those little moments that just happened, beautiful connections were being made.

Because sometimes, doing life together looks just like this: being present, sharing the moment, and making room for the people God places along the way.

Before welcoming families, we prepared a place for them.

We cleaned, organized, put together gifts, prepared materials, and paid attention to the little details.

Not because everything had to look perfect, but because we wanted every family who arrived to feel: “Someone was expecting me.”

Sometimes, this is what serving looks like.

Before there was a flight, there was a prayer.

Before this team arrived in Ecuador, a church gathered around them to pray, believe, and send them.

Because mission is never just about those who go. It is also about those who pray, those who send, and those who faithfully stand behind them.

Tonight, those prayers meet this moment as families begin arriving for Family Camp in Ecuador. 🇬🇹 → 🇪🇨

Our prayer is simple: to serve well, love deeply, and faithfully be the hands and feet of Jesus.
