Inn Ministries

Inn Ministries We are a refuge for the hurting through our school, church, and outreach programs. The Inn had its beginnings in the early 90′s.

Our main focus was and continues to be the unchurched members of our community: San Cristóbal Verapaz, Guatemala. We emphasize Christ centered family relationships, work related relationships and community relationships. We have concentrated our efforts on long range programs, such as education and community involvement, building a trust level with the local authorities and business establishments

, which in turn opens doors enabling us to minister effectively in our society. Although we hold worship services here at the Inn, we don’t consider them to be our end; rather a means by which to equip the believers to be life givers in their neighborhoods. In September of 1993 we purchased one acre of land on which to build the Inn, a refuge for those that find themselves beaten down on the Jericho Road. God has been faithful to bring many friends and neighbors to our gate for spiritual and emotional healing. The number of Inn Keepers has greatly increased since those small beginnings in 1993 ever expanding our circle of influence.

As we approach the rainy season here in Guatemala, we are grateful.

Grateful for the rain that brings life.

And grateful for God’s provision, which has allowed us to make significant progress on several roof replacement projects across our campus.

Each improvement helps prepare spaces where students, families, and our community can be welcomed, cared for, and strengthened.

And as the rains begin to arrive, we are reminded once again that God remains faithful in every season.

Over the past four weeks, something meaningful has been happening here in Guatemala.

Couples gathering around tables.
Conversations being shared.
Notes being taken.
Small moments of intentional investment.

And last night, we gathered for the final session of this marriage workshop.

One of the things we love here is creating spaces where marriages, families, and future generations can be strengthened together.

Sometimes, the love of God looks quieter than people expect.

A pair of shoes.
A visit.
Someone willing to simply be present.

And while moments like these may seem small,
they remind us of something deeply important: people matter to God.

And often,
His care reaches others through people willing to love, serve, and simply show up.

For most of our students, this is what an ordinary day on our campus looks like.

Hallways, classes, friendships, and moments that may seem simple… but behind every school day, a future is quietly being shaped.

Because we deeply believe in creating spaces where the next generation can learn, grow, and discover who they were created to become.

Some acts of service look like this.

Sometimes it sounds like laughter on a dirt road, buckets being passed from hand to hand, and young people willing to carry heavy loads so someone else can one day have a home.

Today in Guatemala, before construction even begins, a group of young people from our church spent the day helping move materials into a community where vehicles can’t easily reach.

And somewhere between the sweat, the joking, the shared bread, and the long walks… you could feel it: love was already being built long before the walls ever go up.

Over the past three weeks, something beautiful has been happening here in Guatemala.

Couples gathering together—making space to listen, pray, grow, and keep choosing one another again and again.

And tonight, during the third session of our marriage workshop, we were reminded why we care so deeply about creating spaces like this.

Because when a marriage is strengthened,
homes are strengthened…
and generations are impacted.

Many times, this is what care looks like here in Guatemala.

Not always in big or visible moments—
but in the quiet decision to keep preparing spaces that serve people well.

Because little by little,
this campus is becoming more than a group of buildings.

It’s becoming a place where students walk each morning,
families gather,
mission teams arrive to serve,
and people from different places find space to grow, worship, and feel at home.

There’s something powerful about beginning a new week this way.

Voices lifted together.
Hands raised in worship.
A community making space to remember who remains at the center of it all.

This Sunday here in Guatemala,
we gathered once again to worship, celebrate, and place our attention back where it belongs.

Because before the schedules, the responsibilities, and the demands of a new week… we choose to begin with praise.

Some of the most meaningful things happening here in Guatemala begin quietly.

with very small hands learning to write their names,
sound out new words, and discover the world around them little by little.

These moments may seem small now.
But we believe this is how futures begin.

Because long before a child grows into who they are becoming, they first need a place where they feel safe, seen, guided, and deeply loved.

And every single day here, that is part of what we hope to build.
