Coach William Acosta is a bilingual (Spanish/English) youth baseball coach and manager with 18 years of international experience developing and mentoring young talent in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. A proven leader with a deep commitment to community sports, Coach Acosta has spent the past 9 years as an Assistant Coach and Team Manager in the WCAA organization, guiding and motivating the next generation of ball players both on and off the field.

Coach Mark Blair has been coaching youth baseball since 2017 and Wesley Chapel Thunder baseball since 2024. He is dedicated to helping players develop their skills, confidence, and passion for the game.

His coaching approach focuses on creating opportunities for players to grow on and off the field through strong relationships, high expectations, and a commitment to teamwork, discipline, and a competitive mindset.

Coach Chad has been a proud member of the Wesley Chapel/Dade City community for 26 years and has spent the last 8 years sharing his love of the game on the baseball diamond. For him, coaching is about the growth and development of our kids. He brings an encouraging, high-energy approach to the field, making sure players work hard to improve their fundamentals and skills while having a great time and building lasting friendships along the way.

⚡Meet your Thunder Coaches!⚡

Hi, I'm Steve Bohling, and I'm honored to serve as the AB Director and the 10U Head Coach for the Wesley Chapel Thunder program.

I've been actively involved with WCAA for several seasons as a volunteer baseball coach and have also coached youth flag football. Through those experiences, I've developed a passion for mentoring young athletes and helping create a positive experience for players and their families.

My goal is to build a competitive, player-focused program where development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and safety are always the top priorities. I believe in developing fundamentally sound players while also instilling strong character, integrity, respect, accountability, and a team-first mindset. Success isn't measured only by what happens on the field, but by helping young athletes grow into confident individuals with the values and work ethic that will serve them throughout life.

I'm excited to work alongside our coaches, players, and families as we continue the strong tradition of Thunder baseball.

My name is Eric Acevedo, and I’m the coach for the 2026 9U Wesley Chapel Thunder. I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and yes, I’m a big Yankees fan! My wife, Cammie Acevedo, and I have five beautiful children. I’ve been involved in coaching youth sports for over a decade, and this is my second season with the Wesley Chapel organization. I’m a big sports person and fan (I still play football and baseball).

My passion for coaching lies in seeing kids develop and grow into respectful individuals. Most importantly, I want to teach them the importance of being great teammates, both on and off the field. I’m excited about the upcoming season!

My name is Coach Joey, and I'm a proud father of three boys who share my love for sports. Baseball has always been my passion, and I enjoy every opportunity to teach the game to young athletes who are eager to learn and compete.

I'm a high-energy, competitive coach who believes in working hard, playing the game the right way, and having fun while doing it. You'll definitely hear me in the dugout—I bring plenty of energy and enthusiasm every game. My goal is to help players develop their skills, build confidence, and create lasting memories. There's nothing better than taking the field with the boys on game day, competing together, and having a great time playing the game we all love.

Coach Kevin is a proud father of six with a lifelong passion for sports and helping young athletes grow.

Growing up, Kevin competed in multiple sports at a high level, where he built lifelong friendships and developed a deep understanding of the passion, commitment, and impact of a great coach. His coaching experience includes recreation baseball, Thunder advanced baseball, baseball All-Stars, flag football, and soccer. Through every team he has been part of, his focus has remained the same: helping kids build confidence, grow fundamentally, and develop a love for the game.

As the new Head Coach of our 7U Thunder team, Kevin is excited for the opportunity to give back and create a positive, encouraging environment where every player can grow on and off the field. He believes youth sports are about more than wins and losses—they’re about character, sportsmanship, hard work, and a lifelong love of the game.
