🌺 BEAUTY THROUGH GENEROSITY! 🌺

A heartfelt THANK YOU to A One Stop Garden Shop Lox LLC for generously donating the beautiful plants and bushes that now grace the flagpole area at Acreage Community Park, South Campus!

Just in time for Veterans Day, their kindness has helped create a beautiful setting where our community can gather to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation.

It's community partners like these who remind us that even the simplest acts of generosity can leave a lasting impression.

Thank you for helping our community bloom with pride! ❤️🤍💙

This fungal pathogen (Rhizoctonia solani) is sure to bring out the dead and dying to frolic on the grass that it plagues. Large-patch disease can take over warm-season turfgrasses like St. Augustinegrass and zoysiagrass once temperatures drop below 80°F.

For more about this frightful disease and how to manage and control it, take a look at this UF/IFAS Gardening Solutions article. https://gardeningsolutions.ifas.ufl.edu/lawns/problems-and-solutions/large-patch/

Since 1944, Smokey Bear has served as a national symbol of wildfire prevention. In 1977, Woodsy Owl ("Lend a Hand Care for the Land") joined the effort, encouraging environmental stewardship and conservation. Together, these beloved icons remind us that each of us plays a role in protecting our natural resources, wildlife, and public lands.
