๐ถ๐จ Yesterday marked our first visit to The Kids Cancer Foundation Summer Camp for 2026, and what a wonderful way to kick off the summer!
As part of Music Week, we introduced the campers to a unique art experience in honor of two amazing donors who helped make these programs possible. The children learned about chromesthesia, a form of synesthesia where some people see colors, shapes, and patterns when they hear music.
We challenged the children to imagine what it would be like to see music and then create artwork based on the sounds, emotions, colors, and movement they experienced. We played several styles of music and watched as each child interpreted the sounds in their own unique way.
The artists began by experimenting with crayons and paper before moving on to canvas and paint, transforming their ideas into colorful masterpieces. No two pieces were alike, and each one told its own story through color, shape, and imagination.
A special thank you to our generous supporters who make these experiences possible. Because of you, we can continue bringing creativity, joy, and meaningful experiences to children throughout the summer. Thank you loissp for the beautiful pictures and Melissa Dixon for all the help ๐
