A PIECE OF HISTORY. A LEGACY THAT LASTS.

Before last night’s home opener, we had the opportunity to present our players and coaches with a commemorative football recognizing an unforgettable chapter in Wayne Hills Football history.

From Wayne, New Jersey to Midland, Texas, our boys traveled nearly 1,800 miles and came home with something that can never be taken away a historic sweep, with both our JV and Varsity teams earning victories in Texas. The Varsity’s 41–34 win over Midland Christian marked a milestone our program will always be proud of.

This football is a small keepsake from an experience much bigger than one game the miles traveled, the memories made, the brotherhood strengthened, and the history these boys and coaches created together.

It will have a special place in our school showcase, preserving this moment for years to come and reminding future Patriots of the legacy left by the 2026 Wayne Hills Football team.

History was made in Texas. Now it becomes part of the legacy at Hills. 🏈❤️

A special thank you to Wayne Township Public Schools Superintendent Mr. David Cittadino for joining us at our Wayne Hills Football team dinner and spending time with our players and coaches!

We truly appreciate Mr. Cittadino taking the time to visit with our team and show his support as we prepared for our 2026 home opener against Northern Highlands.

And what a way to open the season at home Wayne Hills came away with a 21–15 WIN over Northern Highlands!

Thank you, Mr. Cittadino, for spending part of this special night with our boys and the Wayne Hills Football program!

🏈 WAYNE HILLS PRIDE TRAVELS EVERYWHERE! 🏈

One of the most special moments of our historic Texas trip was a reminder that the bonds built through Wayne Hills Football don’t end when the final whistle blows. Once you’re a Patriot, you’re always a Patriot.

While we were in Midland, Wayne Hills Football alum Stephen Stone, who played for Hills from 2001–2005, surprised the team with a visit before our game. Now living just outside Midland, Stephen joined us for our team dinner, spent time with the boys, shared some of his own experiences and offered words of encouragement before they took the field.

And standing alongside him was his former teammate and fellow Wayne Hills alum, Dan Domicoli, Class of 2004.

Stephen and Dan share a special piece of Wayne Hills Football history both were members of the 2002 State Championship team. More than two decades later, there they were together again, this time 1,800 miles from Wayne, supporting a new generation of Patriots making history of their own in Texas.

Dan traveled with the team and has remained a staple within the Wayne Hills Football program. Today, his Patriot journey has come full circle as he gets to experience the program as a football dad, with his son now a sophomore wearing the same Hills colors he once wore himself.

Seeing Stephen and Dan together with our current players was such a special reminder of what this program is all about.

Different generations. Different teams. Different chapters. One Wayne Hills Football family.

We are a tightly knit program, and the connection between our players, alumni, families, coaches and supporters runs deep. Whether you’re right here in Wayne or life takes you all the way to Texas, that Patriot bond stays with you.

Stephen, thank you for making the trip to surprise our boys and share such a special evening with us. And Dan, thank you for continuing to be such a constant and supportive presence within the program.

From State Champions together in 2002 to standing together in Midland, Texas in 2026 supporting the next generation it doesn’t get much more full circle than that.

ONCE A PATRIOT, ALWAYS A PATRIOT.
