Teresa’s Giving Tree Teresa's Giving Tree was created to honor my late Grandmother, Teresa. My Grandmother was what you would call a "Christmas Enthusiast."

Through donations from the community and personal donations, we are giving back to nursing home residents during the holiday season. She loved everything about the holiday season...the gatherings of family and friends, the food, the decorating, the music, the gift gifting. It was truly her favorite time of the year. As a single mother, she raised five children while putting herself through nursing

school. She had ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. My Grandmother was a proud nurse 25 years at Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. She was a true testament to perseverance, determination and strength. My grandmother has given us all so much to look up too. She spent her later days at Lakeview Rehab & Care Center in Wayne, NJ. There, she received wonderful care and met so many special people she was happy to call her friends. We lost my Grandmother on April 24, 2020. In her honor, I was compelled to give back and do something special for all the amazing people she left behind. With that, "Teresa's Giving Tree" was created. Through donations received from family, friends, generous members of the Packanack Lake Mother's Club and Girl Scout Troop 98000, we are happy to say 84 gift bags including essentials and homemade cards and crafts will be delivered to the residents at Lakeview Rehab & Care later this month! Through this page, I hope we give back to more organizations throughout the upcoming year. Stay tuned for updates and pictures capturing our 1st Annual Holiday Giving Tree. Today I received this amazing basket filled with arts and crafts materials from an amazing friend. We shared stories of our Grandmothers and their love of Christmas. Turns out we were both very close to our grandmas 🤍. Grandparents truly are treasures.

Thank you to those who have reached out already and shown support! We have some donations being shipped our way and I was able to cross a few items off the list! We’ve raised just over $200 so far to purchase essentials for the residents of Complete Care at Wayne Hills. My Grandmother left behind wonderful friends and I know they’ll appreciate all the goodies this holiday season.

Hello friends and family! The holiday season is right around the corner. This was my Grandma’s favorite time of year. I’d like to honor her memory once again with another contribution to Complete Care at Wayne Hills (formerly Lakeview Care & Rehab), my Grandmother’s last home. Members of their Recreation Department are busy preparing fun activities and parties for the upcoming holidays and I’d like to add to that cheer with some essentials for their residents. Things on their gift list include: body wash, hand lotion, small bottles of hand sanitizer, fuzzy socks, body spray, word search books, crossword puzzles and art supplies for crafts. If you’re interested in contributing, you may drop your donations off to Complete Care at Wayne Hills at 130 Terhune Drive, Wayne (please be sure to leave donations labeled as “Attention Linda”) or Venmo -Hannavi. Our drop-off date is set for Friday, December 12 🎁.

As always, I’ll keep you posted on our progress along the way.

Drop-off complete! The lovely ladies of the recreation department were so thankful and ready to distribute the donations to the residents in their holiday gift bags! That’s all the residents of Lakeview Rehab & Care asked for (along with lotion- see previous post 😊)….HOWEVER, thanks to your amazing generosity, I had money left over! So, like in the past project, I purchased snacks for the residents to enjoy with their tea/coffee. I added 600 cookies from my kiddos as well. Over 1,000 treats are on their way!!! What’s better than a little something sweet to enjoy while relaxing and enjoying games and entertainment with the Activities Department? I’m really looking forward to this drop-off! 🎁

Everything is set to arrive within the next week. I’ll post pics of our entire donation once it’s all here. Stay tuned 👀

I just received an amazing donation…8️⃣4️⃣ bottles of hand lotion! I’m so grateful! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to my latest project so far! Your generosity helps me to make it all happen ❤️.

A few days ago, my oldest reminded me, "Mom, don't forget about Grandma's Giving Tree!" I could never forget but I'm a bit late. This was my grandmother's favorite time of year! She loved gifting beautifully wrapped presents to her loved ones. This year, her friends left behind at Lakeview Rehab & Care (Wayne, NJ) are in need of socks, lip balm and hand lotion. There are approximately 80 residents we'd like to gift. If you'd like to contribute, you can venmo -Hannavi

It's hard to believe this will be our 4th year gifting in my grandmother's remembrance. Starting this page in 2020 was a way for my family to honor grandma's life and keep her memory alive. Thank you so much to all of you for always supporting our projects and helping me to bring some smiles to very deserving people. I know my grandma is so proud.

As in years past, I'll post pictures of our progress, share updates along the way and post our drop off (December 12th).

Today was the day! I packed my truck and headed to the Children’s Center at the Phoenix with my mom and cousin. This project was so special to us. I want to extend a huge thanks to everyone who generously contributed and helped me gift some truly amazing children so much…
🎁 50 backpacks
🎁 50 blankets
🎁 5 handmade blankets
🎁 25 pillows
🎁 Almost 40 pairs of socks
We had the opportunity to meet a few members of their dedicated staff and everyone was so appreciative. It was evident how much they love their patients. It was so great hearing them talk excitedly about the backpacks and mentioning which child would love each one ❤️. Thank you thank you thank you! I couldn’t have done all of this without the help of so many.
