Through donations from the community and personal donations, we are giving back to nursing home residents during the holiday season. She loved everything about the holiday season...the gatherings of family and friends, the food, the decorating, the music, the gift gifting. It was truly her favorite time of the year. As a single mother, she raised five children while putting herself through nursing school. She had ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. My Grandmother was a proud nurse 25 years at Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. She was a true testament to perseverance, determination and strength. My grandmother has given us all so much to look up too. She spent her later days at Lakeview Rehab & Care Center in Wayne, NJ. There, she received wonderful care and met so many special people she was happy to call her friends. We lost my Grandmother on April 24, 2020. In her honor, I was compelled to give back and do something special for all the amazing people she left behind. With that, "Teresa's Giving Tree" was created. Through donations received from family, friends, generous members of the Packanack Lake Mother's Club and Girl Scout Troop 98000, we are happy to say 84 gift bags including essentials and homemade cards and crafts will be delivered to the residents at Lakeview Rehab & Care later this month!
