🏕️ One Week to Go—Who’s Joining Us at Camp?

Work Weekend at Georgia Lions Camp is just one week away, and we are excited to welcome Lions and volunteers from across the state April 24–26.

💙 Thank you to those who have already signed up—we are looking forward to serving alongside you.

We are finalizing projects and still have opportunities for more hands to help.

🛠️ Projects We’ll Be Working On:

• Paint interior of the Dining Hall with high-contrast colors
• Paint walls and seal floors in the Dining Hall back room
• Paint metal handrails at Big Dorm and Helen Keller
• Replace trim boards on Administration Building awnings
• Hang drywall in the Bike Shed storage room
• Pull weeds and add mulch to flower beds

Every project completed helps ensure camp is safe, accessible, and ready for our campers.

🌍 This weekend takes place during Lions International Environmental Service Week, making it an even more meaningful opportunity to serve.

👥 Lions—there’s still time to bring a guest.
Invite someone to join you to experience the impact of service firsthand and see how Lions across Georgia make a difference.

We just sent out our Work Weekend reminder, and we would love to see Lions from across Georgia join us April 24–26 at Georgia Lions Camp.

This is a Lions-led service weekend focused on preparing camp for the summer season. Every project completed helps create a safe, welcoming, and unforgettable experience for our campers with visual impairments.

🛠️ Projects include:
• Grounds cleanup and beautification
• Painting

🌍 This weekend also takes place during Lions International Environmental Service Week, making it an even more meaningful time to serve.

👥 Lions—bring a guest!
Invite someone to join you and experience the impact of service firsthand. It is a great way to introduce others to what Lions do across Georgia.

We're planting seeds for this summer’s camp! 🌱

Today we spent the afternoon at the Georgia College Summer Job fair sharing the mission of Georgia Lions Camp and meeting students interested in serving as summer counselors.

Our counselors are the heart of camp — leading activities, building confidence, and helping individuals living with visual impairments experience independence, adventure, and community.

Thank you to all who make this work possible. Because of you, the next generation of leaders is stepping forward to serve.
