🐾❤️ LET'S SEE THOSE RESCUE PUPS! ❤️🐾

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and we want to celebrate all the amazing pups who found their way from a shelter or rescue into a loving home! 🏡🐶

Behind every rescue dog is a story. Some were abandoned, some were surrendered, some were found as strays, and some simply needed someone to give them a chance. But they all have one thing in common: they deserve love, safety, and a family of their own. ❤️

Now it's YOUR turn! 👇

🐾 Drop a picture of your rescue pup in the comments!
🐾 Tell us their name!
🐾 Share how they found their way into your family!
🐾 Tell us one thing that makes them special!

Whether you adopted them yesterday or they've been your best friend for 15 years, we want to see them ALL! 🥹🐕

Let's fill the comments with happy tails, second chances, and all the unconditional love that rescue dogs bring into our lives.

And remember, when you adopt a dog, you might not change the world, but you change THEIR world forever. 🐾❤️

Let's celebrate rescue dogs today and every day!

We will go first this is our Jane Marie and we adopted her from Cass County Animal Rescue she was one the reasons behind our project and she will live in your hearts, forever. 🌈😇

With love,
🐾 Paws & Wellness Project 🐾

WHY DOES PAWS & WELLNESS PROJECT ASK FOR DONATIONS SO OFTEN?

We've recently heard someone ask, “Why does Paws & Wellness Project always ask for donations if they're a nonprofit?”

And honestly, we think this is a great opportunity to explain. ❤️

Yes, Paws & Wellness Project is a nonprofit organization. But being a nonprofit does not mean that our organization doesn't have expenses or that we automatically receive funding to cover the work we do.

It simply means that the organization exists to serve a mission—not to distribute profits to owners or shareholders.

Our mission is to help pets and the families who love them, and almost everything we do depends on community support.

🐾 Pet food has to be purchased or donated.
🐾 Storage supplies cost money.
🐾 Events have expenses.
🐾 Fundraising materials cost money.
🐾 Our programs require supplies and resources.
🐾 And as PWP grows, so do the needs of the community we serve.

We don't receive a magic check every month simply because we're a nonprofit. 😂

When a family reaches out because they're struggling to feed their pets, we don't want to tell them we're out of food.

When a community pet-food bin needs restocked, we want to be able to fill it.

When we have an opportunity to help an animal stay with the family who loves them, we want to have the resources to say YES.

That's why you see us fundraising.

💜 But here's something important:
Donations aren't the only way to support PWP.

You can shop our fundraisers.
You can donate pet food.
You can volunteer.
You can share our posts.
You can attend our events.
You can support our small-business partners.
You can simply tell someone about what we're doing.

Every single one of those things helps.

And we never expect everyone to donate every time we ask. We know everyone has their own bills, families and responsibilities.

Our job is to keep giving people opportunities to support the mission if and when they're able.

Because behind every bag of food is a pet who gets to stay with their family. Behind every fundraiser is another opportunity to help. And behind every donation is someone in our community saying:

“I believe this matters.”

And for that, we are incredibly grateful. 🐾💜

Thank you for helping us continue this mission.

QUEENIE FOUND HER FOREVER HOME 🐾💗

Yesterday was such a special day for Queenie! 🥹

We are so incredibly happy that Queenie has found her forever home— and we couldn’t be more excited for the life that is ahead of her! ❤️

Queenie is truly the absolute best girl, and getting to see her today and send her off with a few goodies to help start her new life made our hearts so full. 🥰🐾 We know she is going to be so loved and spoiled by her amazing new mom!

A huge THANK YOU to Cass County Animal Rescue for allowing us to be a small part of Queenie’s journey to finding her family. We are so grateful for the opportunity to help these deserving animals in whatever way we can. ❤️

Queenie, you hit the jackpot, sweet girl! 🐾💗 We are going to miss you, but we are SO happy you are home.

Here’s to a lifetime of love, cuddles, treats, and happy adventures! 🏡🐶💕

🚨 URGENT — FOSTERS NEEDED ASAP! 🚨

These beautiful dogs are all waiting for their chance at a home. ❤️🐾

Morgan County Animal Control is currently at FULL CAPACITY, which means these dogs are at serious risk simply because there is nowhere for them to go.

Cass County Animal Rescue is working to get these cuties into safe, loving homes — but they NEED YOUR HELP!

Ugently looking for:

🏡 Fosters
🏡 Foster-to-Adopt homes
❤️ Adopters ready to give one of these dogs a forever home

You don't have to commit to forever to make a difference. Opening your home as a foster could be the thing that saves a life.

These dogs deserve a chance. They deserve a warm bed, a safe place to decompress, and someone willing to give them a little time. 🥺❤️

📱 INTERESTED IN FOSTERING OR ADOPTING?
TEXT OR CALL (217) 473-9530

Even if you can only foster temporarily, PLEASE reach out! Every available foster home creates space and gives another dog a chance.

🙏 PLEASE SHARE!
You never know who might see this post and be the person who can save one of these dogs.

Let's get these cuties OUT of the shelter and INTO HOMES! 🏡🐶❤️
