Ever dreamed of building a musical instrument with your own hands? Did you miss the first Building a Tagelharpa class? Now is your chance!

Join us for "Craft Your Own Ancient Song: Building a Tagelharpa" and spend a full day immersed in the art of instrument-making. The Tagelharpa is a haunting, resonant bowed lyre with deep Nordic roots. You will build yours from start to finish, even mastering the art of creating your own traditional horsehair strings!

This is an incredibly unique opportunity—you won't find another Tagelharpa building class on this side of the Atlantic. No prior woodworking or musical experience is necessary—just an eagerness to learn. You will walk away with a beautifully crafted, playable instrument and a profound sense of accomplishment.

🪈Build your Own Sälgflöjt (Overtone Flute)
Discover the ancient craft of instrument making and create a piece of musical history with your own hands. In this workshop, instructor Eric Bestul will guide you through the fascinating process of transforming a simple length of PVC and wood doweling into a beautiful and playable Sälgflöjt, or Swedish overtone flute.

You'll learn how to transform simple materials into a playable instrument, mastering the techniques of cutting and carving PVC and wood doweling. By the end of class, you'll have a tangible piece of craftsmanship and the ability to bring your own music to life.
