🤱💗 Lets continue in celebrating the Benefits of Breastfeeding!

Breastfeeding can provide important health benefits for both babies and moms. When breastfeeding is an option, breast milk provides babies with essential nutrients, antibodies that help protect against infections, and support for healthy brain growth and development.

For moms, longer durations of breastfeeding are associated with a lower risk of breast and ovarian cancers, heart disease, high blood pressure, and Type 2 diabetes.

Every breastfeeding journey is unique, and every family deserves encouragement, support, and access to trusted information.

🎥 Teresa Baker, M.D., co-director of the InfantRisk Center at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, recently spoke with Studio 4 about the benefits of breastfeeding. It’s a great conversation highlighting why support and education matter for families.

✨ “Every feeding is part of your journey, and every journey deserves support.”

💬 Let’s talk!
What is one thing you wish every new or expecting parent knew about breastfeeding or breastfeeding support? Share your thoughts in the comments and help encourage another family! 💕🤱

Breastfeeding a newborn doesn’t work for every mom, but science and experts encourage people to do it if they can, because the medical benefits for that baby are amazing.
