🚨PLATINUM SPONSOR ALERT🚨

Today we received a call from Waukesha Circuit Court Judge Mike Schindhelm. Judge Schindhelm said he heard about Trunk or Treat and what we do here in Waukesha County and he wants to be involved as a sponsor.

Here is a little bit about him…

👨‍⚖️Judge Mike Schindhelm was born and raised in Mukwonago. He spent almost two decades as a prosecutor fighting for justice in some of the toughest courtrooms in the country. He’s currently the Judge in Waukesha County Circuit Court Branch 11— handling every type of crime in the county. Now he’s running to hold that seat— to keep that fight for justice going. He’s endorsed by Law Enforcement and supported by other Judges.

Tomorrow is the day! The candy is bought, the prizes are packed, and the fun will begin at 10:00 for those coming to trick or treat. If you’re coming to decorate and hand out candy please arrive at 9:00. Volunteers will be there to help.

I want to say, this has been 14 years of fun, laughs, and smiles. We must never forget why we are here. Kids, and making sure they are always treated equally and with kindness. We don’t know everyone’s story, or what they go through on a daily basis. Maybe life is great, maybe there are struggles we don’t see, maybe there has been abuse and/or neglect. Tomorrow, no one knows, we all come together as equals.

Trunk or treat started to create a safe space for those who were abused, those who needed accommodations, and we have evolved. However, the message has not changed…/abuse is never okay, and every kids deserves an opportunity. Every kid who was ever bullied, or made to feel less, we are here to say you matter.

Tomorrow we come together as a community.

Yesterday I received a follow up phone call to an email that I completely missed (🤦🏼‍♀️). On the other side of the phone call Express Towing & Recovery right here in Waukesha.

I had such a nice conversation with Jim, he told me how he and his family have enjoyed this event and now they wanted to be a part of it. They’re apart of it in a big way, a platinum way.
