Lots accomplished today! Huge thanks to the group that came out and helped us tackle everything from mowing/weed whacking, signage, storage organizing, and everything in between!

We also had an amazing group lunch at Jimmz Pizza! There is still a little bit more for a few of us to tidy up tomorrow, but all and all a very successful work day here in Roamer Country! We will continue signing the trails as volunteer time allows between now and opening day.

Snow is coming soon and we will be prepared! Make sure you are as well by getting your Early Bird TMA today! By choosing Green Mountain Roamers as your club, you will be supporting our mission to get you riding sooner and keep you riding longer. We appreciate all those who have already chosen us this season, and we cant wait for you to get some miles and smiles in!

Next meeting November 12th! Stay tuned for any other popup workdays we may plan! See you soon!

Think Snow!

If it snows, it always snows in Green Mountain Roamers Country! Another great reason to choose us when buying your 27 TMA!

We work hard year round to get you riding sooner and keep you riding longer, and to that end we will be having a work day this Saturday beginning at 9am at our storage area on Farr's Landing. Lunch Provided!

Lots of stuff to do so we hope to see many of you there. Bring whatever implements of destruction you see fit! Also last chance to earn hours toward your volunteer TMA for this season!

If you've noticed construction in the Woodard Hill area of Little River State Park, here's the full story. Every winter, riders enjoy miles of groomed trail, but few see the groundwork. For years, the Roamers have prioritized better drainage and tread because a good trail now means a reliable trail later.

This season the Department of Forest, Parks, And Recreation using the muscle of All Terrain Excavation transformed sections of the 100/212 corridor with new culverts, grading, stone armoring, and drainage improvements.

While All Terrain is handling the heavy infrastructure and FPR is covering the costs, your volunteers and TMA dollars are focused on brushing and maintaining other sections. All this work should equate into getting you out riding sooner and keeping you riding longer, especially in those thin snow conditions.

More important than machinery is the partnership behind it. Years of relationship building with FPR and local foresters meant the Roamers were invited into the discussion not just told what was happening, ensuring the project works for both the forest and its users. Building and maintaining a strong relationship with our Land Managers is one of the most beneficial things our club has done in the last decade.

Thank you to All Terrain Excavating and their dedicated crew, to FPR, to our volunteers, and to everyone who believes these public lands deserve stewardship. Together, we're building a trail system that will serve multi-use users and the forest sustainably for years to come.

Our monthly meeting is this Thursday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. located at the Waterbury-Stowe Fish & Game Club. We hope to see you there to learn more about what it takes to give you the trails you've come to know and love from GMR.

Woah! What a turn out this weekend! Huge thanks to all the folks who displayed machines! An even larger thanks to all our volunteers who keep the weekends running smoothly, even when mother nature had different plans.

Here's a quick photo dump from the weekend. I didn't take too many as I was having too much fun watching the kids enjoy the machines and listening to all the Specators reminiscing about when "they had one just like it". Warms my heart!

Thank you all! Until next year!
