The first day of school is almost here! As our Wolverines get ready to return, we want to make sure families have the information they need for a smooth start and end to each school day.

🚌 BUS ROUTES
• If you have not been notified or your transportation needs have changed, please call the school to get updated information.

🏫 ELEMENTARY | WASHTA
• 7:40 AM – Breakfast Starts
• 8:05 AM – Students Enter Building/Breakfast Ends
• 8:10 AM – School Begins
• 3:20–3:30 PM – Bus Loading
• 3:30 PM – Parent Pickup

🏫 SECONDARY | CORRECTIONVILLE
• 7:20 AM – Breakfast Starts
• 7:55 AM – Hallway Bells Ring/Breakfast Ends
• 8:00 AM – School Begins
• 3:40 PM – Walker & Parent Pickup Dismissed
• 3:45 PM – Bus Loading

Please help us keep arrival and dismissal running safely and smoothly by following these times and procedures. We appreciate everyone's patience as students, families, staff, and bus drivers settle into our routines during the first few days of school. If you have transportation adjustments or daily changes, please contact the school office.

We can't wait to have our Wolverines back in the buildings!

OPEN HOUSE IS ALMOST HERE! ❤️🖤

The start of a new school year is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome our Wolverine families back to River Valley! Join us for our upcoming Elementary and Secondary Open Houses:

📚 River Valley Elementary – Washta
Thursday, August 20, 5:00–7:00 PM
Come meet our staff, visit classrooms, and get ready for a great year! Hotdogs and chips will be served in the lunchroom.

🐾 River Valley Secondary School – Correctionville
Monday, August 24, 1:00–4:00 PM
Students and families are invited to stop in, meet staff, visit classrooms, and prepare for the year ahead.

🎓 Freshman Orientation, 4:00–5:00 PM
We especially encourage our incoming freshmen and their families to join us as we help make the transition to high school a great one!

We’re excited to open our doors, reconnect with our families, and kick off another great year at River Valley! Please call your River Valley School if you have any questions

Monday- Take it back to the 50’s! Teachers & Staff enjoyed a Soda Bar and Mrs. York channeled her best 50’s vibe! 🥤🎲🎼

The Cafetaria was designed as a retro 50’s diner and staff lounge is decorated with nostalgic memories from the 70’s-2000’s.

The River Valley Middle School Student Council invites all River Valley Families to attend their Family Fun Night this Friday starting at 6:30! They have planned a fun event to include fun family games and movie starting at 7:15. Bring a blanket & lawn chair to enjoy the movie in the GYM!
