Spoke with Blasmo this morning regarding Concessions for this weekend, and since I had nobody step forward and offer, I let him try to find someone else to cover it. I couldn't move forward with it since I had no help. This goes for the kids also. No volunteers. We still have the 24th as a date, but once again, my child has an archery tournament, so I will be unable to cover it, but I can be there to help set up.
I have been calling around getting pricing and it looked like the kids will need at LEAST $3, 000-$4,000 (probably more). This is the same regardless of if they are doing it at the school or as a destination After Prom.
To catch up:
No Concessions this weekend (10th), but we can take baked good etc. We just have to be there selling them ourselves.
No "Picnic" or concessions on the 17th, this is being covered by Archery. We could however have a "rummage" of RV Gear or find something else to do during that time.
We are still down for the 24th Concessions. This is a shorter day 8:00-11:30. We could still do a "picnic" but my fear is that its a short day, and it would be a waste. Something such as breakfasty type items may sell well however since its a morning only event.
I have inquired about doing a Community Rummage at the school. This would be items that are donated, and then sold as a free will offer. Setup would be on a Friday night, with the rummage on Saturday. I can print out flyers that can be hung up around the area (other towns also). Blasmo is trying to find us a date.
Another thing that can be done is donation jars at area business's. The kids Venmo finally got approved, so that is an option we can put on the jars as well.
We will be starting the Shoe Drive Fundraiser starting Feb 1st. This will get the kids about $1,000. This works just like a pop can drive, only with shoes. I will forward the advertising information when I get it tomorrow. This is a ZERO investment for the kids (and parents). Just will take some work (from all) to achieve our goal.
I think thats it for now, I'm sure more will come up.
Again, the kids do have their account at the bank set up now.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you!!!!
