Saturday marked the first pop-up sale of the season at the Washington Art Association & Gallery. Ceramic artists showcased their work, inviting weekenders, locals and art lovers alike to shop, engage with the artists and see the Beauty in Breaking exhibition on its final day. Participating artists in the pop-up sale included internationally recognized Afghan master potter Matin Malikzada; renowned regional ceramicist Elizabeth Macdonald; multidisciplinary artist, ceramicist and designer Marcela Manubens; long-time member, student, volunteer and frequent exhibiting artist of WAA, Sarah Griswold; and works of dedicated WAA member and student Gillian Desjardins.
