Washington Dramalites

Washington Dramalites The Washington Dramalites is one of the oldest theater companies in CT, recently revived in the North Washington Dramalites.

The Washington Dramalites is possibly the oldest community theater group in Connecticut, with evidence of a production under that name in the 1870s. Currently the Dramalites are performing readings of "The Algonquin Roundtable" edited by Doug Winkel, President of Dramalites. Please watch for announcements of the performed readings on this page.

It had REAL pages!

Little known fact! When I was about 7, I was treated to an hour in the school library by a favourite teacher of mine called Mrs Quick, who knew I loved reading, after I wrote a poem she liked. Our library was just a recess off a corridor. I dragged out one the Encyclopaedia Brittanica from the bottom shelf (left hand side, I still remember this very vividly), and got so engrossed reading about hieroglyphics that I wet myself in the library. I've never told anyone this, including my mum, who will likely read this now and giggle. ~ Kath
