LNESC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides scholarships, educational programming, resources, and leadership empowerment to students across the United States and Puerto Rico. (LNESC) is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit organization established in 1973 by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). and Puerto Rico in order to narrow the opportunity gap for disadvantaged youth. Throughout

16 education and technology centers, LNESC has served over 635,000 students, sent 161,000 students on to college, and has awarded $32 + million in scholarships. LNESC’s results are made possible by a network of dedicated field staff, top-notch teachers, over 90 school partners, and the support of LULAC – the nation’s largest membership based Latino organization. LNESC has access to a wide network of LULAC councils and grassroots contacts, making activation in additional markets feasible. πŸ”” This is a friendly reminder that the 2026 Ford Auto Tech Scholarship Program is open!

In collaboration with Ford Dealers, Ford Philanthropy is welcoming the next generation of auto technicians by awarding $5,000 scholarships to students pursuing careers in today's automotive technology industry, including diesel programs.

Spanning 43 states and 600+ eligible schools, the Ford Auto Tech Scholarship will grant 800 need-based awards to current and future students enrolled in post-secondary auto, diesel, or auto/diesel technician training programs across the U.S.

This need-based scholarship is applied directly to a student's tuition account and can be used to cover the full cost of attendance, including tuition, tools, living expenses, and transportation.

⭐ The LNESC National Office is pleased to announce the Ford Philanthropy Scholarship is now available to qualified students.

This opportunity supports first-generation college sophomores and juniors pursuing STEM fields, with up to $10,000 in funding.

Students pursuing engineering, computer science, as well as apprenticeship are eligible. The fund helps students gain crucial Future of Work skills that set them up for success well beyond graduation.

What are the eligibility requirements?

βœ”οΈ Must attend an accredited college or university full-time

βœ”οΈ Must be a resident of Buffalo Metro, Chicago Metro, Cleveland Metro, Detroit Metro, Kansas City Metro, Louisville Metro, Marshall/Battle Creek, Michigan, or West Tennessee (Haywood, Tipton, Lauderdale, Madison, Fayette counties)

To apply, eligible students must submit the following:
